Hello!Last few days while driving my F30 320d (with power kit) after a rainy day wet road. There was a few times when I was at cornering or on a straight, I tried to accelerate more (but not max acceleration/full pedal) and my rear tyre started screeching and skidded. Is this normal? Or would any of you recommend to go for staggered wheel config?Currently I'm still at stock tyres 225/50R17 Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT. Will my current rims which is 7.5jx17" take a wider tyre? Or do I need to change my rims too?Does anyone know what is the average price for a Continental CSC3/5? Very tempted to change my RFT away because it is very noisy on the road.If I change my RFTs, I need to buy a tyre sealant for emergency purpose right? Do I need to get a compressor too for inflating the tyres? Thanks guys!

Tyre traction failed to withstand high torque generated by your rear-wheel drive machine especially road condition is wet and furthermore it's RFT which has harder compound. Staggered setup will help [more contact surface with road] but most ppl go for it because of appearance purpose. Changing to staggered setup will also slightly affect the cornering feeling from rear wheel if you are sensitive enough. You can put a slightly wider tyre on your stock rim [e.g. 235] but it's always not recommended. Since you already targeted CSC, why not give a try to michelin pilot super sport? i used potenza, CSC and found pilot super sport the best among three; good grip, fast & most importantly good traction during rainy day.
In short, find a high-performance tyre to settle your high-power output machine. Good luck for hunting bro..

It is quite easy to get the tail to slide in the wet even with the standard form (no power kit), I think it is the BS tires.

If u are goin RFT u don need sealant n the compressor.

Nope, what I meant was if I were to change my RFT to normal tyres. :)

I'm actually considering the PS3 tyres too, but I heard that this tyre is too soft and the thread wears off really fast? Would you know what's the estimate price for this tyre? Say for 225/50R17 or 235/40R18?

That's some real good info! Thanks a bunch! Btw...I'm a bit noob at this. What's the "ET36" stands for?

Are you using bridgestone tyres too? I spoke to a Bridgestone dealer before and he said that BS tyres are harder than others such as Michelin, so the thread doesn't wears of that fast. I think that may be why it doesn't provide enough grip too.

ET is the offset of the wheels. +34 means the wheel comes out more towards the outer body compare to +45

PSS [Pilot Super Sport] isn't the same as PS3. PSS at anytime 30% more expensive than PS3 (e.g. 225/45/18; PS3 rm850, PSS rm1,100). //M-cars and Ferrarri also fitted with this tyre. u will not turn back once u've tried it.:thefinger:

Thanks m-sports for the price guide! The PSS is indeed very tempting! A friend of mine is trying to psycho me into getting it. Looks like more holes in my pocket...
