schwepps, got d number of d shop? am thinking of downgrading back to 18" with RFTs..

got a shop in sunway offer me;
- michelins ps2 zp 225/40/18 & 255/35/18 RM5000
- OZ ultraleggera staggered 8"/9" 18" rims RM8000
they'll take my 19" DPE rim with 2 quite new Eagle F1 tyres for RM5000

what do you guys think, is it a good deal?

Was in Singapore over the weekend, unfortunately didn't have much time to go tire shopping. Went to a place in Ang Mo Kio but they didn't have RFTs in stock but their tires are overall maybe 30% cheaper than what I've seen in KL. Since I still have maybe 5-10k km on my RFTs I decided not to change yet for now. Still waiting the call/SMS with specific prices for my 17" staggered setup on RFTs.

Hi guys, I might be going to Singapore next week for my cousin's wedding. Can someone let me know the location of the cheap-selling-run-flat tyres in there? If possible, let me know the name shop and the address.

Thanks.

Sorry, if this has been discussed before...

Noob question here. How much does these RFTs worth as trade-in value (e.g. on a set of 18" M sport wheels with 70% treads)

Some of you here have gone the non-RFTs route. Did you trade them in or kept them as a 2nd set for outstation travels?

Thx in advance.

Try calling Justin +65 98368640. Was in touch with him 2 weeks ago but he was in Indonesia while I was in Singapore so we didn't get a chance to meet up.

Hi,

Changed my tyres at Sri Rampai Business Park last week, mine was 245/40/18 CSC3 for rm 980 each and they also quoted me 225/45/17 CSC2 RFT at rm 1,080 each. Forgot the name of the shop but it's easy to find as the shop is sponsored by Conti.

i contacted one of the Tyre shop boss back in northern region, with CSC2 SSR 225/45/R17 selling at RM 895, price are old stocks from Conti Salesman, but too bad.. i was late for that tyres. Still looking for a set of 4 thou..

Anyone have kangtao at Northern region for CSC 2 SSR tyre?

Some prices from Stamford Tires in Singapore, with very little negotiation.

225/45/R17 - ContiSportContact 3 RFT S$460
255/40/R17 - ContiSportContact 3 RFT S$500

Smaller shops seem to offer much lower prices but it depends on how well you negotiate. I ended up not buying though, thinking of switching to non-RFTs.

the 255/40/17 RFT at RM1200 converted is cheap. it's difficult to find this staggered back wheel size in KL, even for non-RFTs. may be worth a trip down south for a change when the time comes.

Exactly what I thought as well, but I don't like the bumpy ride and I want to try a non-RFT for the time being which is why I didn't go for RFTs this time.

will do a bit of scouting around for the 255/40 to get a feel of the non RFT prices too.
do share if you see a good deal. i've been mulling non RFT's too, though it'll be a while before changeout. concurrently nosing around to see if the tire sealant & pump sets are available too. Amazon has the Slime kits going for about USD25.

I bought the tire sealant and compressor from an old buddy at Quicksave for RM180. Michelin PS3 non-RFT 225/45/17 were around RM590 all around USJ. Nobody had PS3 255/40/17 only PS2.
