Sorry bro, didn't ask about 225/45/17. I think they should be at least rm100 cheaper than 255/40/17 but don't think the price would be lower than rm 1000. I did ask about conti RFT tyres and they are at least 20 percent dearer than the bridgestones.
Yes, I am fine with the potenzas RFT and don't find them to be 'uncomfortable' and no complaints about grip and handling. However, they can be noisy on certain road surface, to overcome this I just turn up the volume!

anyone knows whthr Mr Lee (slime and pump supplier) is still in business or not? I could not reach his number as stated on this thread.

doc9802,

Same here. No response to the number. But you can get the same kit from Midvalley Ace hardware centre. Hope that helps.

Just changed my RFT to normal tyre.

Changed to Nexen8000 at RM380 per piece (225/45/17).

Still got my RFT at home. Those who plan to get 1 for spare, please pm me. Got all 4 for sale at very good price. Still got about 45% thread. Its CSC2 RFT (225/45/17)

Just changed my 225/40/R18 and 255/35/R18 from RFT to N-RFT.
Falken ZE912 for RM 2300 all 4 sets.
After reviewing the good feedback here, decided to change to N-RFT.

Immediately felt the car much lighter and the torque much improve. Will defintely save on petrol.
Draw backs - the car feels like its floating because its lighter and cornering is not the same with those RFT which i must say is better compared to this N-RFT.

Well i dont know is it becoz of this falken tyres or the N-RFT is not suitable for my E92 325.
Pls feel free to comment and give your views.

A bit disappointed and very much regretted for changing to N-RFT

If cornering is in your top of the list... From my point of view, these are not the right tyre for that purpose...
Tyre is the only thing which keep you on the ground, it's worth to spend on a set of good tyre by matching to your driving style.

I never liked Falkens.. IMO they are crap.Had them on my Impreza once, sold them off after a few weeks cuz they offer no grip at all.Horrible feel from the steering, the car slides away from the chosen line at every oppurtunity.I've never bought another set since, and will never buy one again.

IMHO,the tyres you chose dont meet your expectation.Falken 912s are High Performance tires, while the better Ultra High Performance (UHP) from Falkens are 452 or 453.
I myself jumped the bandwagon from stock potenza rft to Goodyear Assy2 (UHP) which i find very satisfying.

Anybody recently changed their RFT tyre? My 320d is only around 25k but front tyre sides are almost botak alerady.. What's the cheapest RFT now? thanks

Your front tyres botak faster than your rears ka bro?:hmmmm2: Mines done 10k km's but the fronts got roughly twice the amount of threads than the rears. But 25k sounds about the right time when our rear RFTs are due for change.

Change my front tyre yesterday. Bridgestone Potenza RE50a RFT, size 225x45x17, priice rm1000 each, place Wan Auto Car Wheels sdn bhd., Bangi. Thank you.

Just changed a pair of Dunlop SP Maxx GT 245/40 19 RFT at RM2,000 each at TTDI Lim Tayar. What do you guys think of the price? Manufactured in week 45 of 2011 - is that old?

Additional RM270 for miscellaneous like alignment and camber adjustment.

Take a drive down to Haadyai. The tyre prices there is around 30% to 40% cheaper than anywhere in Malaysia.

Do you know any specific tyre shop there at thailand we can go..

Got a quote for a set of runflats size 225/45/17conti csc2 for rm 1100 at lim tayar at ampang

Greetings and Selamat Hari Raya,

I need some help here.
Anybody knows the tyre rating ( in terms of threadwear, traction and temperature) for run flat tyres other that Bridgestone RE50A for size 255 /40/17 ? I need to change my rear tyres and was thinking to change them to Pirelli or Conti or any other reputable make, oh yes and the prices too if you know them. Btw the rating for the Bridgestone is threadwear 140, traction A, and temperature A. Thank you guys and gals. Cheers.
