Notice any difference from the Potenzas?

Hi - interested to know if switching to non -RFT if it still advisable to use existing rims ? May sound a silly question...

From my understanding, you can use existing rims. But you will feel bouncy with non-RFT because your absorbers are designed to use RFT, which tyres are harder than non-RFT. With non-RFT, your tyres are absorbing much of the shocks, absorbers not absorbing much. Causing the ride bouncy.

After some mulling between RFT and non-RFT, decided to go the RFT route. Needed to change the front donuts as it was its time. 37k on the odometer.

Experienced first time pressure loss while crossing the Penang Bridge late an afternoon a few weeks back. Not being a local Penangnite, I count myself lucky to locate a tire shop on the island just in time to do a quick patch courtesy of a tiny nail. The thought of changing a tyre on the bridge wasn't appealing hence the RFT decision.

After a few phone calls, decided with Wan Auto Car Wheels Sdn Bhd in Bangi today.

225/40/R18 - Bridgestone RE050, RM1400

They quotedme RM1,600 for the rears 255/35/18 Bridgestone RE050.

I have no issues on that as i have did the same to non-RFT. As being bouncy, its subjective. The handling and ride is the same.

Cruzer, just want to confirm?

- Your front tyres are 225/40/R18
- Your rear tyres are 255/35/R 18

Your ride is the E90 ? Your rear rims are 8 inches wide or 8.5 inches ? or more ?
