Hi All,I have come to a point of getting or just move on. I am quite keen on the 325i offered by AB premium selection with 5yr service. I just thought it is quite fishy in the sense that, it is selling 309k new , but now its going for 240k. If it is so good, it should be depreciating at a slower pace isnt it? say 270/280k? Just some opinions needed from you guys which has been driving and knowing the brand longer than myself. Appreciate it, i dont want to break the bank cause the money does not come easy, therefore further opinions are needed to justify this.

Hi archie, please introduce yourself at the newbies section prior to posting. :)

On your question, you do realized that the F30 is out right? So it makes sense that AB is clearing it at RM240k now.

Just to share with you below are the used price for a E90 325i M-Sports:

2009 = Circa RM165-168k
2008 = RM145-149k

If depreciation is your main concern, wait until u get the keys....as wingzee mentioned, seconda hand price are 100K more cheaper than the pre-regrestered cars by AB....seconda hand value is the same depend on the manufactured year either u get it from AB or parallel importer

Nothing fishy lor.......e90 being ushered out from the showroom to make way and space for f30.....

wait another 3 to 5 weeks ur SA will call u , price gone down 225k!.. (if car not sold)

must show face there register interest first la..

Year 2008 priced between 145-149k is good buy for LCI model

But to be honest, 240k why not get the F30 320i or top up abit to get the 320d? E90 is already a dated model anyway. The 320i out perform the E90 325i almost all categories (design, gadgets etc.) except the power department and maybe looks (since the 325i comes with M-Sport kit and the F30 doesn't).

thanx alot for all the inputs.. depreciation is not the main concern, its another way to convince me that they are selling it at a right price.
f30 they told me to wait longer.. hurm.. anyway, appreciate very much on the opinions.. keep them coming if you have more to say which
end up "racun" me to join the bmw family :D

It's 6 piston engine better than 4 potter engine?

Yes and no.

Yes, sound of 6 potters revving is irreplaceable.

No. 2.0 inline 4 on the F30 328i pawns the 2.5 inline 6 on E90 325i. Even the 320i is quite good.

240k for a e90 325??

i would rather get a 320i F30...newer,safer,faster

the SA told me to even consider a e90 320d over the 325i, i am still thinking.. haih.. choices and options.. if only i have bigger budget, then no need to think so hard hehehe..

to me, why i'm still considering the e90 325i over the F30 is that the 325i already got a full spec i need. namely m sport package n the most important to me is the 'comfort access'! in term of design, it depends on one's taste but to me, i'm more to e90 LCi looks.. perhaps after the f30 came out with facelifted version n it gets the fully spec one including the comfort access, i'll consider the F30. but it seems like only be happen when it comes to its last period of life cycle huhu
other than that issue, the F30 is still considering new on our road n much more to improve due to its made CKDed in our country.. n to me, the E90 was already went through all the improvements and all the problems faced by the earlier batch should be solved by the latest :)

hi,
what our friends advice and say all correct.Last 4 months AB sold me 323i 2012 for rm225k.At that time i asked for 325i but they say not available.If not sure i ll take it rather than 323i.Last Saturday when i came for first service they told me about that car that youre interested in.If you can add some more money better go for new 320i or even 320d.But if there is all you can afford, 325i still a good car.That price is reasonable and it is of course better offer from AB rather than used car dealers outside there.

Can i throw another option in the ring? :)

Mondeo Ecoboost 2.0, its under 200k and its a BEAST, it will out run any E90 320-325, its freshly updated and CBU from the Europe plant, might not have the "brand prestigie: of BMW, but its a realy value for money car, you save almost rm40k over the end of life e90

My wife drives the focus and I use to have a Ranger...I will vouch for Ford quality.
