Bro it's doable. I tekan a lot from KL to SG back to KL one tank also boleh dapat about 850km. I'm sure if drive uncle-style at 110-120km/h without heavy acceleration, can get 1300km or more.

I am doing this all the time, but i only can make it to 8.1L/100km. I think he added alot of coconut oil into his petrol tank.hahahahahaha

With the above style, yes, can only get about 8.xL/100km.

Bro Herbert, really can do 1300 km? Sounds near impossible. What about you other guys, any comments 520 vs 523/525? Heard 520 underpowered so more fuel burn.

oh....forgot to mention.... speed must be 55.50 km/hr. cannot be less or more than 55.50 km/hr.

i did an uncle style drive, ie. 110-120km/h to Ipoh and the OBC registered 7.7L/100km. initially i didn't believe so went straight to the petrol station filled it up and walah, the OBC is damn accurate :D my average driving to work, subang to pj, is about 12L/100km.

but now wifey is driving it and she is averaging 14.2L/100km around town!! so the consumption very much depends on the driving style and traffic conditions. she has a very heavy right foot and a lot of idling time too.

Seems as though the Putra Heights guys have unlocked the secrets of excellent FC for the E39... :p

Then your car need to have special setting or not ? With the speed are you all the time also drive your car in traffic jam and in city ?

1996 bmw e39 528i. Combined cycle 11.8l/100km on Ron 95.Not spectacular, but then again, my car has 413k kms on its original engine. Plus, this is better than my previous UDM(e32 730i). My old e32 broke my wallet at a ridiculous 15.7l/100km combined cycle.
