For me Petronas is first choice followed by Shell. Not much difference between the two in terms of fuel usage.

Petronas still sponsors Z4 racecars :top:

For current diesels in M'sia, I stronly recomend :-

1. BHP.
2. Mobil / Esso.
3. Caltex.

Thanks voltan, will try them if I come across them. Most of the petrol stations along my normal driving route are Petronas and Shell.

Team my first Full tank with Caltex Diesel clocked me only 530km - town use only, no long distance. I refuel with BHP for RM 98.00 on Sunday 18 April. Lets see how long does that last me....

i like Petronas too first like zhul...stations are clean and diesel pum p together with petrol pump..not in one dirty corner like other stations and the pump heads are the latest type and fit our 320d diesel fuel port.Petronas got lots of money so I don't think they will taker short cuts and not refine the diesel properly. Maybe their's is already Euro 3?

Just clocked 630km today with BHP Diesel and fueled up RM 101 with Shell Diesel on 24th April. Consumption increased from the first full tank by 100km with BHP. Let's see how does Shell diesel produces.

ohh one more question.. why does most owner using diesel than petrol, can tell me why???

For roughly the same amount of money (~RM250k) you can either get a 320i M-Sport or a 320d M-Sport. The diesel 320d is a lot faster and uses 30% less fuel compared to the 320i. The drawback is slightly lower service intervals (15k km vs. 20k km) and the audible diesel clatter if you're standing outside the car.

You have to drive both cars yourself though.

I filled up for the first time today since taking delivery last Friday. Odometer was at 650 sharp, with just below 1/4 tank showing on the indicator. Consumption was tagged at 8.1L/100km by the onboard computer. Total fill was 52.55L and at RM1.80/L one is very glad indeed.

The "d" of course!

astroboy is such a strong supporter of the 320d that all the 320i owners must be saying...betrayer, tak guna, traitor...etc.etc.! hee hee

I am getting 7.1l/100km at the time of just before refilling..........everytime, and I reset the counters after each refill. Very predictable, very regularly giving the same fuel consumption 7.1L/100km.
