Noob buying 2004 E46 Lifestyle

Hi,im new to BMW club Malaysia Going to own a E46 soon. Here the details of the car that im going to buy:1) Mileage: 53k2) Owner: Driven by a lady that fetch kids around3) Interior: Dirty because of kids. Those rubber material near gear stick start to peel off because always under the sun.4)Exterior: Paint very dull. Front and Rear bumper got a lots of scratches. Left Rear fender have some rust.5)Tyre: year 2006 all four of them6) Road tax: Expire mid of april7)Enigine: Smooth , Gear also smooth. Just that the steering feel very tight. Fully servise by BMW Seong Hoe Malacca.8) Asking Price: RM95k still negoPlease give some comment on the price and any future maintenace. i don plan to repaint the car yet becuase my office parking lot is expose to sun all the time. Need to make my decision before Wednesday. Thanks

From the description that you have provided, the car seems a bit tired for a 2004 model with only 53K mileage. If it's a dealer's car, I would strongly recommend that you bring to a BMW specialist to have a through inspection. Check also if the mileage has been tempered.

Good to hear that you will be getting a bimmer soon. Feels great eh? I know how it feels coz I just bought a E46 318i Yr 2003 two months ago. Damn proud man. Back to the topic, as I look at your specs mentioned above, its seems a bit pricey for the condition judging on the amount you need to top up for refurbishing. As I was looking around for my bimmer (somewhere middle of Jan this year) I did stumble across some Lifestyles which are quite a good buy (price around RM90+K) in terms of condition. The reason why I didnt get Lifestyle is bcoz my wifey didnt like the idea of too many electronic this and that, takut rosak susah mau repair. There is a used car beside the Puchong-Bkt Jalil Highway going towards Bkt Jalil / Astro (the new Puchong AutoCity) after the traffic light from IOI Mall which sells lots of used bimmers (thats where I saw the Lifetyle I mention about). Worth while checking it out for a price comparing. All the best bro and hope you will get a good one! Cheers
