ways n means to spoil a beautiful country lah...im confused, so wut if i buy a 1991 Saga, n keep my 528i at home, will i be subsidised? doesnt make sense, how is using the MyKad going to show which income group the person belongs to?? fine, it proves the nationality, but wut if a lower income person could afford a 40K e39, n preferred to drive one rather than a proton??

deep3102...if you own both 1991 saga 1500cc and a E39 528i, they will still take the higher cc car...

most probably, the identification number from IC would be used and then data will be retrieved (maybe from JPJ, HASIL...)

yup...a lot of things do not make sense...this would take a lot of careful and in-depth planning to please the majority...

my question now is...what if I'm driving someone else's car? How will I be categorized then?

fraud...that's a good one...perhaps, people owning motorcycles will sell their information to a "company" and this company will duplicate the card and sell it off for a price???

IMHO the main issue here is not about making sure the subsidy reaches its target group. If you read between the lines, the government is in deep shit. Meaning, no money. The situation is so bad in such a way that if every EPF depositors decides to withdraw all their savings today, I would estimate only 10% will get the money and the rest will nganga. What you see in your EPF statements are just figures. Yes, only on paper. How could this happen? This is mainly due to mismanagement from the previous, previous administration and not to mention corruption. We and the generations to come are going to pay the price. This is what the future going to be - expect to pay RM500K for a proton saga in ten years time, engineers and doctors will have to drive taxis to make extra money, graduates with phDs are no longer a big deal, people from African continent (so called students) will make up 50% of the Malaysian population and Bangsar will turn into a ghetto.

Can somebody tell me where to buy a 516i label? Especially useful for people driving 3 litre cars. . Jokes aside, I think it's a damn stupid idea to implement. We're already penalised with high car prices (AP punya pasal), road tax, toll and now wanna ask us to pay market price for petrol. Gotta compensate the rakyat in other ways if wanna remove subsidy. Dropping the roadtax would be a good start. Lets say I use 4 tanks of petrol a month. Each tank is 70 litres. My petrol cost will increase by RM84 per month or RM1008 per year. I hate the extra cost but it's still manageable lah. Abolish the road tax will be enough to cover the increase in petrol cost. That way, Malaysians still get subsidised while foreigners pay full market price. Fair boh?

I take on oath today if this rule is in force, I'm migrating. Wtf? I'm a fresh grad, used a lot of saved money and part time money to buy the car I love (E34 520i) and with my current salary of 3000 I'm classified as a "rich guy" because I own a 2 litre car? Plus what funfer_fahrer said scares me because it makes so much sense.

C**** government....the moment this s*** rule is implemented I'm just taking up masters in another country and settling down there.

you forgot that they need another 'consultant' to study why they have to pull back the plan and also the other 'consultants' to study why the first 'consultants' failed in their study......in the end its a big scheme to siphon off more money from the government which was paid by the rakyat for this short amount of fuel increase.......:stupid::stupid::stupid:
