to all fellow UDM driver, i am new to the club and currently drive a 2000 cosmo black 318ci manual with half leather sport seats. it came with the upgraded 16inch cross spoke design wheels but i changed it to an original set of 18inch radial design a few weeks ago. here is my ride:

a few days ago, i was thinking of upgrading the car to a set of original bi xenon headlights( complete unit with wiring and ballast fitted) but was told by technician that is very tricky and may harm the original ECU, i then called up BMW myself and let them run a check with my chassis number and they told me the same thing, the M3 bi xenon headlight would not fit on a normal 3 series coupe.

still i see a lot of ppl running about with aftermarket xenon headlights,
would someone enlighthen me a bit please. does that means, only newer ci have the wire pre installed in the car or only higher spec car has the wire like 320 and above.

thanks

hey bro, u r not in Malaysia arn't u?.. maybe some sifus here can give u some ideas.. welcome to the club dude :D

UK somewhere since its RHD, road tax disc on bottom left windscreen and all that brownstone in the background (??)

Is that the Road Tax disc? Tot it was the club sticker! Din know they had a designated place to stick the disc... I see it stuck all over the windscreen here in Kuching!

Welcome to the club. Nice ride you have there.

As for the xenon question, i thinnk it'd be better, plus you'd get better response if you were to post it in the appropriate tech section. ;)

NOICE RIDE dude! :eek:k: WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!

hmmm... looks like somewhere in Australia to me? :dunno:

can't see the Euro logo on the reg. plate from this angle of the pix.

hi,
the bi-xenon projector lights will definately fit, not sure about the M3 ones.

I do know the non M will not fit the M3.

Once you fit the OEM BMW projector lights, brig it to your local BMW dealer can get them to update your ecu! Easy Peasy!

Good Luck and welcome to the club.

thanks man!

i am actually still in UK at the moment, doing my final year of undergraduate, not long before i graduate.

currently residing in Manchester and the building u see at the back is indeed a hall of residence, newly built!

as for my bimmer, everything is working and drives good, though the 318 engine might not be the best but is adequate for me to go from point a to point b

anyway, will post more inthe forums

welcome to our club ;)

go back malaysia must be bring back your ride :nyehehe:

take care
cheer :)

yeah! i am malaysian and proud to be one! hahaha...

currently studying in UK

C-square,

thats not GP, but close enough, u seems to know manchester well, but my place is a brand new student flat further up the road.

regarding the Jewelultra Diamondbrite valeting kit, i tried it over the weekend and i must say, is well worth the money and utterlly impressed by it now. it leave a mirror finish to the car even after all the rain here. good product! but it takes ages to do the full valeting

for the polishing, theres 2 stages by itself, and theres also the interior, fabric and carpet protector to apply, but effort well worth it after seeing the end products! hehehe

and guys, as u know, i was searching for things to upgrade in the car like full leather interior with 3 way memory sport seats( i have the half leather sport seats) and xenon. but this item is expensive. full set of leather interior cost 900 pounds alone

on my way of searching, i got another car for that money instead with leather seats! hahah.. bought myself a mercedes w124 300e with immaculate brown leather interior and another 180 horses to play with with those M103 engine

just collected the car. will update soon
