Spoken to one of the SA from Wearnes few days back durig my visit there on this and they did confirm that drilling holes no longer be a practise for securing plate no for cars from their dealership.
And they did replaced those new trunks under their own cost as BMW Malaysia resist to reimburse claim to them which make sense as the defect are "human made" by dealer's vendor not a design defect watsoever.
But hey good to know that dealer are willing to fork out their own money to solve issues faced by customers.

Wearnes has been a strong supportive of our club and will definitly try to resolve issues for its members amicably. Thus far, they have done well since taking over the Segambut outlet .......:top: ..

How about AB or other dealers? Does BMW club have a good relationship with other dealers?

AB Sg Besi did the same to the trunk of my car. Same old explanation was given, ie additional holes were drilled to secure the number plate. I am still waiting for a final response from the dealer since last year. Per the customer service officer and off the record, I was told that it is unlikely that I will get a trunk replacement from AB. At most, the dealer will fix/ fill up the holes.

My car is in the workshop for a major repair since last Friday and I haven't got back my car yet as of today. I have owned the car since Sept 2012 and I have sent in the car for the 4th time ever since. Honestly, my bmw experience has been a nightmare so far. I was given a brand new X1 as a courtesy car during this time, sad to say that the built quality found on the X1 is much better than the F30.

AB KL (Jln Tun Razak) is another. However as for Sg Besi or Glenmarie outlet, we do not ... I hope AB Sg Besi will replace the trunk instead of just fixing. Its not a standard procedure for them to drill it so I say they should replace it if customer like you request for it. ...

Bro, sorry to hear about your predicament. I hope your dealer would sort out those problems for you soon. The F30 is a fairly new model compare to the X1. So, give them some time to sort out those issues and improve on the quality of assembly for the f30.

I sent my car to Wearnes Autohaus Segambut to replace my trunk this morning. They change a new trunk for me. They got me to inspect the new trunk before they install back the number plate. I sent my car in at 0830 and by 1030 everything is done including washing my car. This is my first experience sending my car to Wearnes for service and I must say that the experience is very good. I was greeted by the receptionist the moment I step into the showroom. At least I am being noticed unlike some other dealers. My sales executive Mr Don is very helpful and provide an excellent service before and after sales. I strongly recommend him if you are looking for a sales executive to handle your purchase. And of course Wearnes Autohaus Segambut, if you are looking for a good BMW dealer.

Yes bro splee, Wearnes has been good and very supportive to the club and its members ... :top: ..

So nice to hear.. I'm actually very happy to see such commitment from the dealer. I guess this is with some influence from the club.

Kudos!
