Most suitable Engine Oil for E60

hi good day everyone,Im planning to get the engine oil change....lots of engine oil brand in the market nowadays & everybody is claiming their engine oil is the best compared to others.Need some advice from sifu on what engine oil to e used. Mine is e60 msport 525 yr 2007 jap spec.thanks:smile:

I understand how you feel for being a new owner of E60 for the first time! I feel you bro... I had the same situation with you last time when I got my car many forumers or members here will tell you different brand of engine oil, all based on what they are using for the time being!

Please look at the BMW Club Malaysia.. ever notice Castrol Edge??? It's a good choice!
But for me, I am using Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40... so far so good :top:

Castrol Edge sold here only LL98..going for Ultra or M1 also on my next change.. M1 from 0w40 s'pore only RM37 per qt

Tried Motul 300V,very expensive but wasn't impressed and then I tried Castrol Edge,good stuff,reasonably priced and although I'm selling my UDM,I would probably use that in my next ride too

Yes Bro,I am selling my car.Unfortunately I already have a close friend who is taking it.He made me an offer I couldn't refuse so it's going.We're only waiting for his loan approval at this point.If tak jadi then I will surely call you first.

I intend to stay a member of this forum for as long as I'm allowed to.This is one of the best forum I'm involved in although as always there were a few teething issues.The administration is top notch(kudos to you guys).

Has anyone tried the Petronas Syntium 5000? all this while, I hv been using AB supplied oil? feel any difference?

Im using Rock Oil now...good once u always rev the car..same price with Mobil 1.
