Recently my ride's magnesium engine is consuming way too much engine oil (1 little every 2500km). I sent it to check up, the sifu said there's oil sludge issue and he can put in a chemical to do an oil flush. However, he cautioned that if the chemical cannot effectively drain all the oil sludge, the residue may clog the engine and the car will then require an overhaul.
Is this true? Is there any other way to clean the oil sludge? Any recommendation on any workshop which has done such work for magnesium engine?
