Recently my ride's magnesium engine is consuming way too much engine oil (1 little every 2500km). I sent it to check up, the sifu said there's oil sludge issue and he can put in a chemical to do an oil flush. However, he cautioned that if the chemical cannot effectively drain all the oil sludge, the residue may clog the engine and the car will then require an overhaul. :eek:Is this true? Is there any other way to clean the oil sludge? Any recommendation on any workshop which has done such work for magnesium engine?

Wish yours isn't like this unlucky e60:

Bro...I think the best way is to overhaul your engine ! Your mech is right, if you're again unlucky enough for the sludge to clog the oil passage. Then more problems for you again !

Any recommended workshop to do the overhaul? I've checked around, not many has done overhaul for e60 magnesium engine.

Anyone heard about One-success workshop in Glenmarie (near AB-Glenmarie)? Are they any good for overhaul?

there's one but in ipoh. very reliable & honest mechanic with reasonable rate. 1/2 the cost in KL area. worth sending . I am also sending the car to this workshop for an overhaul although i stay in KL.
