Flush oil sludge

Dear all friends,i am planning to fludge the engine oil sludge and the mechanic also recommend me to gramble the engine too..what is your opinion guys..?? cause to do : 1. sludge (brown colour)can be seen at engine oil cap. 2. the warning light " engine oil level low" always appear on the screen. 3. Gramble- just want up the performance coz the mechanic told me my car will perform like 530 if he do gramble..all its cost around 3Kto 5k..my car status : 525, mileage 175,000 km year 2004 Japan spec.tq

looking at the mileage ...battery shorten the svc interval instead of 25k KM.oil cap for sure can c little bit there but get a touch light check inside the cam shaft area wether any thing not..

Your mechanic will do what!?? i've tried googling this "gramble" thingy but found nothing. I think you better run away as far and as fast as possible from your mech bro ...

Also when did you acquire the car and at what interval did you change your oil? Bcos to have sludge for an engine that takes 7 litres of oil can mean only one thing which is a very long Oil Change Interval (change every 15 -20k or even more). Try changing oil on a shorter OCI (at 5k km) for a few times and see if that works.

Hi aloqstaq,

Is the performance very bad or is it consuming engine oil? If not maybe you should just flush the engine and see if there is any defference in the performance.

If going ahead with top overhaul, might as well balance the engine, you will see a mark inprovement in the performance.
