Biarkan.........

In the first place .... you should close any thread when somebody start condeming government policy.

Even a trained lawyer like blackrobe can get a little emotional about the issue he brought up. I suggest we close down the general discussions and autobahn section. I don't see any difference on how people feel today compared to back in 1969.

there is good and bad about polisi gomen!
the good ones... aku kena pikir dulu. think? think? think?...

... still thinking! oh ya, good ones, karang minyak tak naik! tapi... tapi...
si TOL dah naik! ada apa apa perbezaan!

aku punya falsampah!

Minyak tak naik, Roadtax turun sikit, toll naik 60%.. I pay RM859 a year for roadtax from RM889. I make 100 trips using puchong/ hicom toll I spend extra RM160 compared to RM100 previously. I rather naik roadtax don't naik petrol and toll at all.

tuan bimmer73,

u sound cool beb, will u be arnd tonite for fatty crab & TT?

I agree we should talk about May 13th so that the future generations will not repeat the mistakes made earlier. It has been said that those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

There are various versions of what actually triggered the darkest episode in this country's brief history. Try reading books write by historians from both sides and then make your own judgement. To me, its the late Dato' Harun whom was the culprit.

I hope this is a serious typo....

If the reason that this is a CAR CLUB and this should not be discussed, its a matter of opinion. And if its decided that it should not be discussed since its not car related, better close down the Autobahn and General Discussion thread.... lets not be picky. Like I said before lots of aunties here....

So .... DO IT ........ unless the commitees also want to become unties or the committe don't have the balls to do it .... and will give 1001 excuse of cannot do that.

Well, I dont the urge or need to discuss this personally as I have read enough on this and heard from people who lived through this as well. And this discussion would not be appropriate in this forum, as not many are matured enough to participate in historical discussions without stoking racist comments and what not.

Cheers.

somehow the first part of my posting fell on blind eyes.... selective blindness seems to be a common trait for the ruling party and its croonies.

To reiterate would seem as exercise in futility.... lets let sleeping dogs lie...

JUst to slightly correct that statement funfer_fahrer, I wasn't being emotional, merely a depiction of aggressive steadfast enthusiasm... :D

Anyways, I obviously believe in the elements and privileges of freedom and like most lawyers and like 'the man on the Clapham Omnibus' we dislike being oppressed in any manner. My feelings, or the lack of it for the 'powers that be' are secondary to the issues of oppression and dictatorship, which has obviously set in, and is now attempting to creep in here in this forum.

No one wants or likes to be dictated.

Homo sapiens non urinat in ventum. Non scholae sed vitae discimus.

Let me see if I can get this straight. They increased the proce when oil price is USD70, now USD 58 and we should be thsnkfull because they don't increase???

Much can be learned from this phrase, but in my honest opinion to pee into the wind would be far less silly than pee'ing unto ones self, which is very much the case for most homo sapiens that are spoon fed. 'Vitae Discimus' ? I hardly learned to live life from schools... I think I learned it more from the hurdles I faced growing up. I was not given privilages on a silver platter, hence my survival in tougest of situations without complains....

Just my 2 cents man.... dont tembak me ok...:D

wei .. off topic.. stay on course please. Just a reminder.. we were talking about the petrol price NOT increasing.

need to get something clear.. cuz it seems that everyone is unhappy about the NEP and what it stands for nowadays.especially among non-bumis..

so here's my question.. are u guys unhappy with the whole idea of the NEP? OR are u guys unhappy with the way it has been implemented(wrongly, unjustly, target not achieved, cronies and not the target getting rich etc)?

just to put the whole matter of race relations into perspective..for me at least.

please be honest..

In all honesty, I am ok with NEP, especially given the wide income disparity between the chinese and other races, not only the malays but the indians and other minorities as well. Of course along the way, NEP got hijacked and only served to enrich the well connected ones and now its used as the reason to exclude non-bumis from most government jobs, projects and what not.

TO me, I have no problems with the government awarding projects to bumi class F,E,D and C contractors, but why do class A contractors like UEM, Peremba Construction, Ahmad Zaki and etc still be given jobs based on negotiated contracts?? Shouldn't they compete on equal basis with others?? This is when many get pissed off.

NEP's objective of ensuring the Bumi's owning 30% of the corporate equity in Malaysia has been achieved some years back based on numerous research papers but the majority of the Malays are still poor. Therefore, there is a serious need to overhaul NEP to ensure only the poor and needy gets all the assistance they need in order to escape the poverty cycle. If you were to ask me, the Indian community is the most marginalised in this country.

Cheers.
