In order to disable the safety feature (screen disable while driving), you need to buy the bypass wire for the tv tuner. I got mine off e-bay. Google the product and you can find lots of info on it. Hope this helps...:)

Thanks alot Roland. BTW, how much did it cost u? Plus my unit came with a DVD Navigation. Question, can it be modified to play DVD movies?

Any particular individual on e-Bay? Appreciate Roland

Check the following sites for info on bypassing the TV Control to watch while driving. This sunject has been discussed in another forum and there is a lot of info there.

Not sure if this works on not

Watch TV / Videotext during driving
This works on all BMW 5/7 Series with the Mark I Navigation System (the one with the male voice).
On Mark II (the newer version with the female voice) you have to use "brightness" instead of
contrast for TV and "color" instead of brightness for videotext to get the trick to work.
This works on the latest 99 7-series models as well. This does not appear to work for the latest BMWs
sold in Europe (2000 onward, 3/5/7 series). The software updates for latest navigation CD-ROM's do not
appear to affect or disable this trick.
set ignition to pos. II
enter TV mode
enter "settings"
enter "contrast"
when the green contrast bar is visible, push the knob and keep it pressed
turn ignition off (keep button pressed!)
wait 8-10 seconds (timing must be accurate!)
release the knob
turn on ignition again
Now the TV will operate while the car is in motion, though you certainly should leave that to your
passengers only while driving. To watch videotext use the same procedure as above, but choose
"brightness" instead of "contrast"

Before you invest in the cables, check with the other forumers i.e Calvin who has installed them. The quality of the pciture is not soo good and very snowy. This has nothing to do with the systems, but our TV reception which is broadcasted anaolg and hence while moving, quality detriotates and you will realise not worth it. However if you intend to watch DVD and have a DVD player, then it makes sense

The long awaited original BMW Nav CD for KL/Sin is finally here. This is for the earlier models such as the E39 and some earlier models of E65/66. The new DVD disc is for E90 and E60. The features I believe are the same. The part number is 65900418762. Price are the same - RM2018.00. So far, AB in Glenmarie doesn't have stock. Only AB in Sg Besi has stock.
