M54B25 eating up engine oil

anyone here having this issue? my M54B25 is eating up d engine oil. engine no leaking, checked by ah meng and his staffs.

john suggested that engine is eating the oil. after every service, engine oil light turns on after 3k km... checked the oil stick, oil is at minimum level.

how to remedy this? overhaul?
 
do you have smoke at the tailpipe at engine starts but none at idle?
if yes,your ccv (crank case vent vlv) like alan mentioned cud be shot.

Ccv? Not sure change b4 or not but changed alot of stuffs already including the jantung.
Will have a look at d exhaust tomorrow morning after starting the engine.

Btw the rear light indicator turned whole time but I've checked, non of the bulbs blown. Any idea why is the rear light indicator turned on? Both rear light indicators.

The 5, 10 and 15 actually refer more to the temperature. Since we are in Malaysia that shouldn't be a factor. Should focus on the viscosity of the oil instead.

thats is important, I use 5w last time and it consume oil which I would feel the oil vaporise because its too thin. Now I use 20w, the level still maintain, already at more than 3000km. Hot climate require thicker oil because 0w and 5w are good for cold start in an extreme cold places.

Bro, e.g. 5w-40 means is the viscosity at low operating temperature (W being winter).

In a 10w-40 for example the 10w bit (W = winter, not weight or watt or anything else for that matter) simply means that the oil must have a certain maximum viscosity/flow at low temperature. The lower the "W" number the better the oil's cold temperature/cold start performance.

The 40 in a 10w-40 simply means that the oil must fall within certain viscosity limits at 100°C. This is a fixed limit and all oils that end in 40 must achieve these limits. Once again the lower the number, the thinner the oil: a 30 oil is thinner than a 40 oil at 100°C etc. Your handbook will specify whether a 30, 40 or 50 etc is required.

For me I was using 30 viscosity oil (5W-30 LL01) but I felt that the oil is too thin whenever I go on the track. Hence now I use a thicker oil which is 5w-10 LL04.
