Hey bro, thanks for the info. But dont u need to transfer the internal ori key to new key?

Already said above la bro. Read it again:

Key after it has been cut. You need to remove the internal from the old one to the new one (obviously).

The uncle got sell the bmw key cover or not? Or can let me know where to find him? Tq.

He's just cutting the key, he doesnt have the key. I bought the key from ebay. Dunno where you can get here.

One question regarding the key. I think I watch on top gear you can lock/unlock the door automatically. Like unlock when the car detect the key and lock when it detected the key has been far away.
Is this standard or only for new cars?

I think it can be retrofitted but it can easily cost thousands (look at those I-drive retrofits or flipping M5 mirrors) :)

Good idea! The new F10 is what you need. A cheaper solution is Nissan Latio :p

My E39 can open the door from 20-25 meter away...

Tips from Jeremy Clarkson: If the remote range is short, put the key touching the side of your head (where you would stick the koyok when you have fever) and press the lock/unlock button. Worked for me to extend the range!

I believe since I have tried this before but on my previous Honda. It also work when ur battery is weak on the remote. But I put it not on the head but on my neck. Lol

Some bro says they have problem with the remote sensor due to short range but mind goes the other way. Mine can control up to around 100-120 ft, some times even after beam to beam when I'm at home at my 3 Storey, it still work. Wondering how can I reduce it now.....instead of increasing the range. 8 metre is ideal I think.

For model e39 can e46 it can use diamond shape remote key or non diamond shape remote key. If the own thinks that diamond shape remote key range to long then they can change the key to non diamond shape remote key which the range is around 10 metres.

For you case if BMW has produce the short range remote then only can solve your problem.............hehehehehe
I dont know the China keyless entry key will have short range or not. If the got produce it then you can change.

I have order the machine for cloning the keyless key machine but still not yet arrives. Once it arrives then for sure i can do as what you said.

haha, Thanx in advance bro.......

1.sometimes my key does not function well, doors cannot be locked/unlocked at one press.multiple attempts need to be done...it is the same with the spare key. both (main and spare keys) were used frequently.

2.can i unlock/lock the door manually(insert the key and turn) when this happened?

thanks you in advance

Yes you can! Mine E60, 1 of the spare key remote rosak ady, that day I purposely tried to lock in by using remote and unlocked it using the rosak spare key, it works well. Am also being told that E60 doesn't come with any alarm system, all it needs is the immobilizer. If you remote key's immobilizer is rosak, then you will have to clone a new set from AB, I guess!

this kind of behaviour might come from Diversity Antenna...key signal reception is handled by the Diversity Antenna, which is also responsible for FM reception...

If I'm not mistaken its common for Japan recon cars to not have any alarm, the UK recon would have it. Not sure about local AB cars.
