I never really felt too comfortable about the braking abilities of this tank of a car. Recently decided to try an upgrade. The original front brakes of the 728i is 4 pot Brembo using disc size of 314X28 I took them out and replace it with E38 740iL 4.4 front brakes (Single pot!!!) with larger disc size of 324X30

The verdict : I like it, more confidence and better stopping distance.

Hi Vincent, I felt the same way too. What I did was I changed to a two (double) layered servo pump of a 740 which i got from chop shop. Its great now.
