The braking capabilities of this upgrade is greatly enhanced. It's worth it. One also can try Bro BimmerE38 route since Suresh also reported much improvements. I think Suresh route will be more cost effective.

Hi Vincent, I felt the same way too. What I did was I changed to a two (double) layered servo pump of a 740 which i got from chop shop. Its great now.

Suresh, yours is single or double vanos? what year? I was told the double layer servo cannot fit into models pre 98.....thanks!

went for a ride in that new Titan Silver E38 yesterday.. i love what that colour does to the car. plus those new seats, simply awesome!

I bought the servo with suresh, the double layer and it fits nicely to the single vanos engine bay. Really plug and play thing.

Sorry guys for some reason miss out this tread. Mine is single vanos 1997. Yes double layer servo can fit perfectly. This Idea and all credit should go to Jason (Ah Foo) @ Optimum Motoworks as it was his idea and suggestion. Breaking is excellent now especially on high speed, no need to pump twice anymore.

Hi Vincent,

Couldn't help noticing a couple of bulges at the airbag area of steering wheel. Is this normal?

I saw a sample with similar case. For the passenger's side, the airbag console can be lifted out. Could this be a sign of tampering or repairing? Says the salesman it is due to wiring troubleshooting :hmmmm2:

Cheers,
geodesy

Geodesy, sharp eyes for details. I actually got the car in that condition. What you have spotted are some of the common problems of E38. I have seen similar issues on other E38's. My guess is the Malaysian heat is not too friendly to the quality of the dashboard/plastic materials on an E38.

Uncle, I just love your car.... when my car grows up .... she wants to be just like that

He! He! Just give me a tinkle when you are ready to do some makeup. Hopefully you can stomach some individual colours or interior scheme.
