Guys,I think JPJ is quite serious about cracking down certain things like heavily tinted windows and the Xenon headlight thingy. Was on my way back home using NKVE this evening and noted that the queue at the Jln Duta toll was quite long. Saw some tents being put up, so I suspected must be some roadblocks. To my surprise, yes it was a roadblock by JPJ but didnt know what's the modus operandi. After paying the toll, was slowly rolling thru the bottleneck traffic and when came to my turn, one of the officers was pointing me to move to the side... I was like asking myself WT?, apa salah? speeding kah? or illegal modifications? cannot be..coz everything also standard. So later on one of the officers was looking at my road tax sticker and then asked me to move on...but saw most cars or vehicles that kena were mainly commercial vehicles like lorries and trucks, some wiralution-wannabe-suspect-looking-cars and some vans. All these are not important but I believe its a clear message from JPJ that they are serious about cracking down traffic offenders in some ways.Any input?Cheers

Agree... Many Police roadblock,

Got one near entrance of Sungai Besi Highway too, and I saw them stop a few cars with HID lights especially MyVi

Guess they are serious as they are there even it is rainning and in this hour.

Oh my goodies..... My car tinted like can't see who is the driver. and xenon from pliphlips too.. how am i going to survive now? i think we still can say ours are original. cause most BM come with xenon. damn........ how now??

Not only in KL la, In Penang also damn freeky out with these JPJ roadblock. Last week when I was going out for lunch bout 15km next to the airport, there were 2 different spot of roadblock mainly check on tinted window. My friend told me that JPJ gave compound bill and ask to drive the car to nearby JPJ office immediately. If we tear off at the JPJ office the compound shall be wave. Wow lau weii..like credit card method liao !

Well, for those of us who made a conscious decision to flout the law when we chose the darker tint, opt for bright HID, go for shiny number plate, etc, etc, despite being warned by the shop that it "cannot pass jpj", now is the time to face the music. Might be a good idea to drive around in dad's stock toyota for a while.

My E36 is heavily tinted and she now stays in the porch. I'm thinking of getting her a blanket because she'll be there for quite a while.

I remember going to Padang Besar thru UUM using that new highway to Kangar sometime early this year. I think its stated in JPJ Perlis' S.O.P that every Friday after the Friday prayer they will start making roadblocks at the pintu gerbang, dividing Perlis and Kedah because everytime I pass that place on Friday always bump into them...and this time I bump into them with a car tinted like Knight Rider's Kit. Prepared for the worst. Only option left to me is to wind down all the windows. Miraculously, they let me thru. They just looked at me, a few of them, my wife sittin next to me, my mom with my kids at the seats behind and they let me go. After about 50 meters I saw one of them pointing fingers (the forefingers lah) at my car as if telling his mates why the heck did we let the guy go??

Later I found out that while they were checking my car, my mom was chanting prayers and doa!!!!...it works!! blinded them like a bat.

Sadly, I'm now back in KL and my mom is in Kedah. Perhaps I need to record her doa so next time when there is a radblock, just push the play button. Only if we live in a perfect world lah.

Moral of the story. Do not underestimate the power of DOA, especially if it comes from your mother.

If the JPJ reads this, they may need to consider buying another equipment to detect if you're using DOA at their roadblocks. That'll cost another million :p
