Thats the way the cookie crumbles I guess... hahahaha... u go to india alot ? we should talk.:top:

Yes, we should........

Actually i feel really lucky i have not been pulled over for my HID even when it was super glaring(did not modify properly) even at police road block. I will be trying when i get back to malaysia to modify the wires and ballast so they are all hidden and look like it is all original.

But my car will be off the road for a while coz no one will be driving it for a while so dun have to worry about tinting(mine not too 'illegal', just a lil darker on the front coz 50% all round) and HID

I find it really retarded that they wan to cut the wire...what will that do???at most i reattach them again, and how do they expect anyone to drive at night when u cut the wire????Hi light??wouldn't that be worst then HID???then kena saman again for no working driving lights? not every car has a fog lamp.

if HID user will kena saman, then how bout seller?

pls la,those things (HID/xenon or tinted film) were been paid taxes when they were imported or even locally made, some taxes been paid to our gov...wats the point let those thing selling in M'sia but restrict us to use it?

Totally agree with this statement :shakehands:.

My point exactly. In anycase wooo hooo got my 8000k HID bulbs changed to 4300K the colour is now more yellow whitish. In all honesty it is far better than the blue lights.

i changed my headlight from factory to PIAA 6000K but i avoid driving at night or stopping
at rest area . so far no problemo.

another point is,living in malaysia should hv heavier tint on our car.I dun c any disadvantage to hv darker tint, not to mention those boodly dark tint till visibilty at night might cause u accident but definately our current "jpj standard" here is making trouble with us.

dun tell me it's due to eliminate crime,i dun c trend of crime cases drop since it been implemented.

talking bout HID,it's very annoying when it's too glare & pointing straight instead of front.authorities should have a rules for height level of the center of beam with a scale by not exceeding more than 400mm height on a board which is located 1000mm distance in front of a car.maybe normal saloon & MPV/SUV should hv diff kinda of scale since the hight of car varies..

juz my point of view, dun shoot me & im not going to be a pegawai jpj...

Actually darker tint if this is what i think u are saying from 'heavier tint' does not actually reduce heat from entering the car coz i have actually had a test and between a 35% and 80% tint where the 35% tint has 60% heat rejection and the 80% having only 25%....it is really noticiable when placed under a spot light. i think mot of us like the dark tint coz it makes the car look nicer.

if u notice most of the glaring HID are from the wiraution and cars like that? most of them install cheap china HID kit which has very bad focus and bad reflectors which causes glare. so even if they adjust the light to be in the specs that u stated it will still be glaring.....it is like adjusting your hi light to that spec when there is still light spreading everywhere infront of the car as the hi light is meant to be like.

do anyone know where to buy 4300k hid bulb?
cheap cheap one....

darker tints = cooler car, both heat expulsion and looks.. very noticeable and appreciated when traveling long distance with family and baby.. hail dark tinted cars! hehehe..

SS1? accessories shop? nearby ?? heheh not familiar there le...

Darker tint does not = to better heat rejection but for sure a cooler looking car. If darker tints that go for Rm200 is cooler then no point we install V-cool and expensive tints that cost us at least RM1.8k. Just my opinion from experience. i think the darker tint is good for day driving....not too glaring and good for protecting the eye from the glaring HID...LOl

One layer of V-Kool and one layer 80% Tint works for me.

Last weekend there was a JPJ roadblock by my house in Damansara heights the amounts of Wira's, Kancils, Kelisa's, Kenaris that were stopped because of the tinting and their illegal HID's. Poor them. On the spot kena, those drivers must have got annoyed when they saw my being let go without any warnings. hmm...

I guess my luck is going well this year again "touch wood". Reminds me i have install my projector headlamps.

expensive v-kool (btw where did u do vkool for 1800? cheap man..) = jpj compliant = more light but less heat = higher technology = certain wavelength that carries heat energy is blocked (thats why u sometimes get problems with smart tags) = cooler temp

cheap darker tints = 200ringgit = non jpj compliant = lower light/heat through = cooler temp..

light carries heat energy.. so darker tints = less light = less heat..
like sunglasses, cheap 20 bucks vs 2000 bucks UV reflective thingy.. :smokin:

I am not using V-cool. i am using some security tint all round in my car. tried it under the spot light and was cooler then the v-cool so decided to go with it.

Actually should darker tint absorb heat??since most dark objects absorb heat.

heat rejection is determined by how much infra red rays are 'bounced' off by the tint...... BTW, which brand of security tint are you using? is it thicker than the normal tint?
