Yazid, waaaa best best... but why only play with the 9mm round laaa, try the G21... chambered for the .45 ACP. better stopping power. but a bit to big laa the pistol. the G19 is a perfect personal defence pistol as it's more compact and easy to conceal carry..

9mm also enough to make a big hole in Suther head, with my size I prefer G17. wanna to try .... takde masalah ....... conditions ... Suther as target..... hahahaha

On a more serious note : I was listening to the news this morning and I heard that the crime index dropped. I might have heard wrong, anyone got any inputs in regards to this. Heard in on HITZ.FM

that's a sweet looking glock 29. This semi-automatic gun is quite rare in fact, because it's in the ultra compact category but uses the 10mm ammo.... hmmm if not for the double recoil springs, this baby would be unmanageable....

My friend's trying to get me into it as a hobby first. He's been selling me on getting a glock, (he has a concealed weapon permit), so I've been checking them out online. My other friend is trying to get me to joing the NRA I'm going to check it out this weekend, I'd like to start going to the shooting ranges to start. More toys... Btw, I'm not saying everyone here are gun toting maniacs...

donno laa about glock but personally for personal defence i do prefer the FN Five-seveN. though i think the 5.7x28mm cartrige is not available here. so next best thing is still the glock 17 C

OTH ... crime index/reports depend on the actual crimes being recorded/reported in the first place. Its very easy to underreport to give a rosier picture, not saying this is what transpired but take everything you hear/see in the media, with a grain of salt.

good luck on yr new hobby ....... its fun .... and pls tell me yr comment on Chew Yun Fatt movie after your first shoot using yr pistol.

Personally I choose Glock, since it is easy to clean and not easy to get jammed unlike other sime ot auto. Further more the hammer is conceal in the barrel unlike others it is outside, your fingger wont accidently get stuck there. Heckler & Koch is another good one, but a bit expensive.

Yazid, hey thanks for the comments. Like I said, I'm a total noob about this, just recently started getting very interested. Still in the research phase but I think I decided on what to get as a starter, the 17C. I haven't fired one yet but I've handled it and it feels pretty good in your hand and the weight is comfortable.

Its suprisingly easy to purchase a gun in my state, you don't need a permit or waiting period, just an instant backgound check. You do need a concealed weapon permit to carry it around but its easier for a hobbyist like me to start off. I won't really need or want a CCW, this is strictly for the range.

Like I said, new toys to look at...

....... I think I decided on what to get as a starter, the 17C. I haven't fired one yet but I've handled it and it feels pretty good in your hand and the weight is comfortable.

'C' Series is a compact version of the standard, and its relatively new. personally I like the standard one. .... maybe because of my size.

If possible, before you purchase it, ask permission to test it first. Have the feel between standard, sub-compact and compact. The lighter it is, the more its shake, and its tiring but easier to use.

Yazid actually I think the 17 series are all compacts. The C denotes the compensator option which is recommended for noobs due to less recoil. There is an L version with a longer barrel.

Either way its cool with me. Didn't you know its not the size that matters, is how you use it
