well.... for outstation travelling, F10 is better as it is more comfy and roomier.
Issues? Well, I have had a lot of issues with F10. Thumping absorber (changed not too long ago), squeeky brake, wobbly at high speed even in sport mode, slow wiper compared to 3series, lack of lateral support, air cond not cold enough. I like the hold button and how it layout of buttons on the steering.
320d, i still dun understand how u guys did 1000km. When i filled up max (to the extend of overflowing), the reading showed about 750km till empty. Can yu guys enlighten me on this. U can't say i drive like a mad man since it is still not run in yet so rev below 3k. When i turn, i can hear funny sound from suspension, did you guys feel the same? somehow i cannot synchronise my phone with the car's bluetooth....... need to check with dealer. Overall, the torque is addctive but if possible, I hope BMW can improve on traction a tad better. Hope F30 comes witl hold button which is convenient during jams or whilst waiting at traffic light. The buttons on the steerings are not well thought out. Hope they can standardise it at least putting the volume and song/radio channel on the same side throughout the series as I always press the wrong one when i changed cars.... so it is very annoying. Diesel engine clatter still need some getting use to. Overall, pretty happy with 320d.

thanks for the feedback, champ.
no funny sounds from the suspension when turning for me. but remember that you're also running in the other parts of your car now - suspension, wheels, gearbox, brakes...don't forget to test your ABS & DSC too (do it safely on an open and clear road!).

Hmmm. I bought mine a pre-own frm AB with 10k mileage. The problem is i'm x getting the mileage as stated here. Went to SG last weekend can only to do 800 km and then require to fill up. Average speed 170km/h.

If I stick to 90-110km/h and only do highways I can easily approach 1000km per fill up. I don't average 170km/h because I don't want to pay crazy saman but the moment you speed up beyond 120-130km/h fuel consumption goes up significantly in my experience.

With > 50% in stop and go traffic and manic driving, I only get around 700-750km before the light comes on.

deactivate & reactivate to make sure it works.
tap once to turn DTC off. tap and hold to turn DTC & DSC off. you'll get a warning on the OBC, so you'll know that it's deactivated. to turn it back on just tap the button again (or jam brakes, i believe).
you should be able to get some wheel-spin with these electronics off, but please "play" responsibly!!

Thanks maniac. However, even without deactivating, i still experience some wheel spin. I am quite heavy footed, hehe

How to reach 1000km then per full tank,DJH bro?- but I think the main question to ask is...why want to reach 1000 km per full tank? -to show the world you drive like a monk? Drive at 60km/hr on straight roads with the air con off....? Suffer lah like that!!!

True doc. Tried once to reach 4 digit mileage. Was near (970km). Had to stick to 110-120kmh. Conclusion: boring as hell. Had to pinch myself to keep me awake. With my usual city run, i usually clock around 700-750km when my fuel light warning comes on permanently. Tats wit 70% city jam and my average speed is below 40kmh & average fuel consumption at 7.4 litres per 100km (or 13.5km per litre)

Guyz, noticed sound coming from the rear springs when i push the car down. Any cause of concern? Or shud i just go back to AB?

Apart from tht feel like such a waste driving to work lah.. Penang traffic 40-50 km/h only in town ayooo... This ride is built for speed yo!

True to the word.

Left KL (J Duta) with full tank, arrived Penang (after 3 hours), searched for lunch venue with Sat afternoon Georgetown traffic, then back to KL again (total 705kms).

Arrived KL (after another 3 hours) with quarter tank +1 notch remaining. My calculation shows 6.3L/100kms after filing up 45L again (but strangely the OBC shows 7.4L/100kms). Impressive! I wasnt holding back on a boring drive, yet not flat out. Just comfortable cruising for a BMW.

nice one bro, thanks for sharing! didn't realise you had also picked up an oil burner too, welcome to the fraternity! did you manage to get one with the idrive?
the OBC probably still has the total FC calc averaged from before the trip.

Very hard to pick a better driver's car for that money....chuck in another 50K more, can get the Audi Quatrro 2L, but its still lacking in the driving and handling department....and their front LED lights....makes it look slightly feminine, like a girl's eye lash, if you ask me. And Audi's in-house servicing and repairs, total let-down, I hear.
For a compact exec, you did the right thing going for the 320d. You wouldn't need to change it for the next 5 years at least, bro!
