Rear Pax side door has some alignment issue.... My wife love the X1... but for me it will never beat my M Sport 320d.....

alignment issues?? really?
man, i should check the alignments on my car then, read another member had lights and boot trunk not aligned too.
hahaha at one point i was thinking of swapping the 320D for the X1 because of the look, but i was talked out of it by the SA..hahaaa

initially thats what i thought, until i saw one that was pretty decked out with big ass rims, and it didn't look too bad...
but again, we've got the newer engine and lots quicker.

X1 really ugly, looks alive camel or a kind of animal in StarWar

Just completed the 2000km run-in mileage as advised by the manual, but with this kinda torque its really daaammmnnn hard to hold myself back haha... Did a 'fun run' to Ipoh and back touching speeds in excess of 200km/h at Gopeng-Ipoh strech:biggrin:

Next question is I'm planning to do an oil change which is not under the bsri, any opinions on the need for this or shud i just wait for normal service interval which is abt 13,000km to go.:hmmmm:

Service Adviser says No NEED TRUST BMW, save the money for PowerKit/Brake and do it every 12,000 km. I am planning to do that. Save the mother earth with less waste engine oil

Haha.. powerkit definitly worth considering, met up with bro min in Ipoh..

..even the diesel clatter is softer, let alone the kick in the a$$

Just to share, thnks to bro min, found out why my engine cover was shaking - mine was missing the 2 circular washers/bush thingy seen here
bedccc72.jpg

need to set up appointmnt with AB

FYI - went to AB Pg and put in order for the bush. They have to order from store in JB and hope to get it in 2-3 days time.

The Service tech also said not necessary to change engine oil after running in period - time to tekannnnn!!!!:burnout:

Stuck on the crossroad again, didnt go thru with the 320D last time after putting some thoughts into it n now made a booking for a 320 instead (white/saddle brown). Tmrw afternoon supposed to head dwn to ingress to settle the insurance n sign the loan agreement. Then quill SA called me up this evening as they have a last unit grey 320d for sale..

I'm getting a lot of mixed review as some petrol heads, some oil burners advice. N of course there is the f30 coming REAL soon issue tht I don't know if I shld even sign anything now or wait for the last batch of 320ds ( if there is still any remaining)..

How's all the sifu's point of view on the value of the D's compared to the new 4pot turbos? Shld I. Even bother looking at the old 4pot or just stick to the D's.. Was told after 3 years I shld prepare a substantial maintenance amount for the D engines. Dilemma

This 320d + powerkit + BMW Performance Brake feels like riding a Solid Dragon. Shall call it Dragon Power (DP) instead of Horse Power. We have now 420NM DP powered by the richest dragon fossil fuel: Diesel. Because the dragon is bigger so it can run longer distance per tank. Personally we have tested 323i 325i and the latest 528i, none of them got this dragon feel. If you buy 320i, the feel like a normal Japanese petrol car no kick. Save the world buy Diesel car!

F30 320d might be priced at RM270k, if budget is not an issue...book it.
if E90 320d priced at RM220k and below...you might have hard time...I am sure it will be gone in just 2 days. look at the 320d owner list its number growing 30x in about 2 months time. Ask our Docrayboy for more info

Bro BennLee, at this point of time and if budget is no issue, u may want to wait and test drive the new F30 - be it the 320d/320i/328i - just to be fair to yourself. Assuming u've test drove both the E90s 'd' and 'i'. From the reviews, the F30 is more refined even in Sports line.

My previous SA also scare me with issue of changing the d's injector after 80,000km, said it'll cost me RM10k or sumthing - well, i re-read this whole thread and no owner have ever complained abt replacing injectors. Can even check with 5-er diesel big brothers - no issues so far (dont take my word for it - read it yourself) ;)

All the best in your new purchase bro:cool:

The D is a whole brand new world. Go D, bro! If got 270K, get the F30. If got 220K, get the last remaining E90 320d cars. If you want petrol, up to you. Some gals like them small. Some like them like the D-Dark n powerful!

220K is for year 2012 models ? Just called J from Quill and she told me 2011 sold out.
2012 remaining and waiting for BMWM to launch new package for 2012 cars.

Yeah....rarer than diamonds-the E90 320d cars-all grabbed up already! Nevermind, don't look back in anger, don't cry over spilt milk, get the F30 320d!

220K for 2012 is really a diamond and must grab compared to the 6% discount if prereg. They said e90 2012 still have a few.
Patience.

Obviously, the sane thing to do is to get the f30 320d if one is prepared to lose 30-50k immediately when driven out the showroom. Whatever one says about ignoring depreciatio when it comes to cars, it's still a tough swallow for most of us whose money does not grow on trees.

BMW cannibalizes their own resale value with the premium selection business model and heavily penalizes the heft of depreciation on new car owners. So, For those of us whose head (the bigger one) overrules the heart, then the last batches of e90 represents very good value at ard 210k+. Plonk in a powerkit with those savings, and even the new f30 320d engine output specs is no match for it. But based on bragging rights and traffic catwalks, the f30 will attract all wolf whistles.

$270k vs $220k, heart vs head, decisions, decisions.....,

As for me, I m thoroughly enjoying my powerkitted e90 which is the perfect reply to KL road hoggers who hugs the lane and then speeds up when u try to overtake. I hv overtaken a merc c250 hogging the lane at 140-150kmh with probably one and a half car gap in front.

Not many of us can experience the horsepower of an m3 but now you can relish the torque of an m3 with the 320d and it's nothing short of exhilirating

RM220k for new 2012 e90 320d or pre-registered one? Should the new unit priced at RM260k??

220K for prereg 2011 models....buy maybe all sold out already.
I heard 270K for new 320d. CBU model iDrive with no satnav. SKD comes 4 months later-has satnav. Both priced 270K.
