Food no way, the rest, almost definitely ;)

But my point was that I've tried Euro 4 diesel several times already on a virgin 320d and it didn't make any difference. With the tuning box it made a huge difference.

Yup in general its cheaper and better. Of coz we r talking bout personal taste in terms of food. I refering to the raw material use. I can eat nasi campur wt drink at mamak there for SGD5. the rice better, the chicken big, vege fresh. Its cheap! dun convert to currency la like our stupid govt. Our cost or living is high too compare to SG except property & cars

I chat with my colleague from S'pore. He said in S'pore it is already Euro 5, got such thing as Euro 5 arr? I thought Euro 4? Can someone pls clarify?

Just read paper today, garmen extend dateline to upgrade Euro4/5 to 2014 said Transport minister. Sighhh........ sure got vesting interest why it is delayed again

BMW Welt visit went very well.....saw the F30 being built, couldn't take pics in the plant. 9000 employees in the Munich plant produce 900 3 series cars everyday. The robots are made by this German company Kuka. Everything is about quality control-they use lasers and photos are taken to make sure parts are within 200 microns from the standard. Everything is about technology and hard work. So that is why the germans are the best performing country economically-wise in the EU! Respect!

After this you go to BMW factory in Kulim and compare the diff. Then u know why I prefer CBU hehehe

Google is your best friend.

BMW Fuel System cleaner is actually relabelled Techron. So skip those other cleaners and just refuel with Caltex as already mentioned previously.

Guys, just curious to find out. Does anyone know that our 320d is fitted with twin scroll turbo, or just the old school single scroll turbo....? cheers...!!

Single scroll turbo bro....only the bigger engines get single turbo with twin scroll, e.g. the X5 3.0d, which you can get here in Malaysia! The 3.5d gets twin turbi twin scroll.

The twin scroll turbo is for Euro 4/5 diesel only which is one major reason it's not here.

Thanks Doc and Gameover.... :) had a look at the engine parts catalog too... the manifold outlets are combined into single scroll.. cheers..!!
Went to have a look at the new Range Rover Evoque.. the 2.2 diesel engine is DAMN quite..!!! didnt get to test drive, it was 6.30pm..!!

Almost two weeks of driving the oil burner and enjoying every minute of it. I own a Ford TDCI as well but this beemer is on a class of its own. Better handling and more power! Can't wait for the run-in period to be over and try out the true potential of this car.

I read the F30 320d and the F30 328i are twin scrolls....then won't bring them here?

Doc, at this moment, it seems that all F30 engine lineup are all Twin Power Turbo (twin scrolls) even down to the 316d. So I think BMW Malaysia will do something about it (i.e. retune etc) so that the cars are runnable with the fuel standard available here.

Or worst come to worst, delay the introduction of F30 until Euro 4/5 fuel is available. Stick with E90s for a few more years :).

The F30 320d engine power specs are exactly the same as the current 184hp/380Nm E90 320d so I'm guessing that it's still the same single turbo BMW N47 engine.

By the time Euro 4/5 comes, it will probably be time to sell the car :s sick country run by sicker ppl..sad
