Help: can I add this ESSO coolant to my BMW 318i?

Hi, guysI purchased this coolant at a petrol station. It's branded as ESSO.Some friend told me that I can't add coolant by myself, and I have to go to BMW service and let them help me to add the coolant.Well, other friends told me that I can simply add the coolant by myself.I'm a bit confused. stick to BMW original blue colour coolant, not advisable to use any others. Also, you can intro. yourself in newbies section

Any coolant will do. But I don't think you need anti-freeze coolant over here. If you ask me I don't recommend you mix coolant with different brands because they have different cooling properties.
