Check also your hose could be worn out. If no crack at the radiator or expansion tank it might be the heater pipe also. My heater pipe leak and have to top up water everyday. Found that the pipe leak due to corrotion. It made of steel. Heater pipe connected to the ac. Just to share.

5)lost of engine oil and water....topup water like every week...
For the lost of engine oil, looks like a classic case of the engine itself. Check whether you have blowby. When running, let the car be stationary and engine idle for sometime say 5min or more, than upon moving see whether there's a lot of white smoke behind from the exhaust. This will show that you have a blow by, the solution can either be just the valve/ring or even piston. Thus, you might need just the top or full overhaul. Depends on your luck.. happen to me, luckily only top overhaul. When done, no more issue of loss oil
For the water, it definetly your radiator..if you haven't service it get it pressure check. 318 got a lot of hoses that needs to be change.

hope this help

as been mentioned before..my radiator changed already...anyway will be visiting workshop soon to settle the water lost first then the oil. thanks guys for the advice..

1)what is the main cause of steering shaking?what is the possible culprit for this problem...so far i've change lower arm (RH), tierod (LH), bering (LH), bushing (FR), sport spring...could it be stearing rack?
if shaking at high speed maybe you need to check tire balance bro. if you steering got freeplay like old bus, its your steering rack.

2) notice bunyi bising from my rear right tyre when cruising on highway..is'it because of blod tyre?
bald tyre can be the reason but its not that noisy. try check your wheel bearing. i had this experience before. humming sound only started when reach 80kmh...

3)my car start showing symptom of susah nak start..bunyi and power ada tapi xmau hidup..
too general bro...try check starter, plugs or fuel pump

4)aircond not cold and produce masam smell..notice symptom of water drip under the car, centre vent cooler the side vent, aircond blower suddenly die off while driving and screeching sound when starting the car...as per advice in this forum, found out problem myb originated from cooling coil...status: least priority and tahan dulu..(cross finger):bawling:
aircond not cold u can inspect your condensor for any sign of leaks. blower die off i can only think about faulty final stage unit

5)lost of engine oil and water....topup water like every week...
signs of leaking bro...check radiator and hoses. sometimes hoses that located behind the block is the culprit. is there any oil drip on the floor when u parked your car? if yes, it could be gasket is due to change...

6)when putting paddle to the floor, notice low respond from the engine and sound like bubble pop (buih) in the engine compartment..dont know if it normal with BMW car...:stupid:
your car use hybrid soap power ka? i have no idea on this but based from my experience if u blip the motorcycle throttle in vast, it would produce same result. blip the throttle gradually but fast maybe the answer.

7) low RPM when AC is off in stand still position while in D gear..car start to shake and RPM drop
normal bro. rpm with aircond off is about 550rpm and when on is 700rpm. your car vibrate maybe because of the engaged gear wanted to channel the power to the rear axle but was being stopped. try check the drive shaft coupling/ guibo. your rpm will slightly drop if you engaged D

8)my rims ACS type 3 dent already due to previous owner fault.
send for repair or buy new

i understand your situation bro. the car i had was fine but when i have it, maybe it was fated that those things were due to change.. now done all and drive happily. however try solve the leak puzzle first as for me it's better to have a car that can run on the road than stranded beside the road:wink:

Thanks bro Ezzo369, .....just send my babby for service in Sunway..

(2) changed tyre and RB bearing...problem solve!
(5) for the water leakage, i've changed mount plate and pipe connector..hopefully problem solve
(6) take out some nut that tighten the air filter box..problem solve!
(7) the mech say confirm problem originated from the engine mounting and not idling part related....not yet to be change, maybe next month (will be my next priority)

for more info on my service can read here.

1)what is the main cause of steering shaking?what is the possible culprit for this problem...so far i've change lower arm (RH), tierod (LH), bering (LH), bushing (FR), sport spring...could it be stearing rack?

#1 Check the steering Coupling / swivel Joint (if going over small bumps and has that *thud*thud* sound
#2 Check For Tire condition front and Back
#3 Check the wheel rotation (jack up) check for bearing sound... More cracking noise = bearing rosak
#4 Check the Spring mounting (this i just learn) as a faulty mounting will create uneven effect to car steering
#5 Shake front tire at 3 and 9 o'clock position if still moving then the tierods are faulty (in your case - if ody change... find the problem deepr => Steering rack OUCH!)

2) notice bunyi bising from my rear right tyre when cruising on highway..is'it because of blod tyre?
#1 Check for brake pads and rotor
#2 Check for Disk break piston (should check all) this will make tapping noise -->sound like metal tappings
#3 Uneven Tire will make the noise or choice of tire ... go for RFT type tires second hand oso its ok as long as its branded
#4 Check for Trailing members and bushing
#5 pray hard its not the sound of the differential box...

3)my car start showing symptom of susah nak start..bunyi and power ada tapi xmau hidup..
#1 Check for MAF sensor (using software the best)
#2 Check for the Spark Plug and its connectors
#3 ICV (Idle control valve) Service or change might be needed

4)aircond not cold and produce masam smell..notice symptom of water drip under the car, centre vent cooler the side vent, aircond blower suddenly die off while driving and screeching sound when starting the car...as per advice in this forum, found out problem myb originated from cooling coil...status: least priority and tahan dulu..(cross finger)

This one can wait as masam smell can be cleaned by disinfecting the cooling channels but learn to live with it its BMW trademark :p Sometimes its like ur partner having this "special" smell at one point you will get used to it (or even liking it :p)

But after you solve the major problem the do this...

5)lost of engine oil and water....topup water like every week...

Engine Oil
#1 Check Engine Gasket, Piston ring and valve seals and Engine oil lines (you can actually do this manually jack up or from looking around the engine for spill or telltale sign of leakage)
#2 Go for those sealing "primer" or additive to motor oil... get a good one it might be of help (i solve my compression with this simple thing)

Coolant/water:
#1 check ALL your Radiator/cooling lines usual culprit is the top hose (get a pressure test done and see for leaking area.
--->>> MAJOR *Check water pump mine was from there it even shread my timing belt and cause 1 timeoverheat (luckly no major damage)
#2 Check for expansion tank (the black plastic bottle) as simple as the cap longar or rosak can cause water loss

6)when putting paddle to the floor, notice low respond from the engine and sound like bubble pop (buih) in the engine compartment..dont know if it normal with BMW car...

#Check MAF and O2 sensors... i heard that from someone last time and your DME scan can show all this problems

7) low RPM when AC is off in stand still position while in D gear..car start to shake and RPM drop

Simple problem actually sometimes the timing setting only is off... but still MAF is the culprit

8)my rims ACS type 3 dent already due to previous owner fault.

Buy new rims :p

sadly, after spending alot of money still can't solve the water lost problem. such a headache la this F*C&%#G water lost issues..could it be the radiator guy??Helpppppp....

i feel for you bro. checked on my car at the workshop today and found few other small leakages, including the radiator. sent the car in earlier for a water pump change and top overhaul. told my mech "tukar all that needs to be changed". spent the time to go over all the problem areas with my mech......well better do it all in one go in my opinion.....

not to mentioned a hair line crack head gasket too could lead to this problem and hope not ....

how come the workshop you've visited did not not solve your problem ?? ayoo it could be even a small little radiator cap that needs to be replaced too could cause such problem ... since you've replace the radiator ..the only remains are the Hoses , termostat housing as those fibre ones are prone to cracks , radiator cap , waterpump and lastly the head gasket ...

i know how u feel bro. been there before and none guide me hehe... i suspect your radiator got leak. to confirm this you may need to take out the radiator and inspect it. from my experience, theres no sign of water drip but when my mechanic took the radiator out theres sign of very tiny leakage so i changed the radiator. after that the head gasket gave way followed by the water pump as i saw traces of water coming out.this is possibly bcause the water pressure in the system is back to normal. now my car fit but need to sacrifice some cashes...good luck

i've just finish trying to DIY my radiator but in no luck doing so since i don't have the proper equipment...From my last visit to Autobahn, the mech suggested me to change my mount plate, pipe connector and radiator...because i just changed the radiator last September, i insisted him to change only the mount plate and pipe connector..and that proof to be a mistake because my water problem still not solve untill today..so tonight i decided to DIY and change the radiator with the old one which I still have in possession..it take time for me to learn and finally have the gut to DIY..but after 1 hour of trying, i have to call for a stop due to lack of proper equipment to do this kind of DIY..this work require you to have a T25 Torx screw driver to be able to detach the fan shroud..so the best solution is sending my car tomorrow to workshop and just let the pomen do their work..will incur some money but still will safe me the time and kederat...

Lesson learn, when intending to DIY, make sure you have the proper equipment or else you will only be wasting time and energy.:102:

At least you tried bro.....slowly but surely u'll get there.....

Last night i attempted second DIY..and it was successful..hehe..was so motivated after the 1st attempt decided not to send to workshop... instead i go to hardware store and bought the T25 torx screw driver..i dont know why at the last minute i changed my mind to DIY radiator change..anyway, this is the step for the DIY..enjoy!

after that you need to drain the water from the cooling system. make sure the water cool first before attempting this step.

after detaching all the hose and sensor, pull the radiator up to take it out...to ease your work, better take out the air filter box also and spare tank..but in this case i can't some how take out the frikin spare tank..

was so tired after the DIY..take the car for a spin and no light what so ever trigged in my dashbord... luckily there was no spare nut or screw was left over on the floor..hehe...

p/s: merry christmas to all who celebrate :santaclaus::beer:

Just ask the guy in M-Speed SS 21 to check for you. He is very very good with BMW but you have to be patient with him coz he gets irritated when you ask too many questions.

Nice try bro..

Clear photos with good explaination.
Should do more of this kind of DIY, will be helpful for other in future!

Just one thing, you were risking your life by supporting the car using the OEm jack.
It can break anytime!!!!
Try to add a brick underneath the tyre.
In case it failed, you won't be sandwiched!!
