Daniel try to call me hippogamenoob.....imagine the stupidity of me trying to lift up the broken steering link rod and steer at same time to get out of the way... Freaking hilarious

Ok I will keep u all updated on next round. Elite track is not ready until feb.

Are u all keen to try out sepang track as well or remain at same track for one more round in late jan before the elite track?

I am keen to go if you guys are going to sepang. Had a bad experience at City Karts previously, karts are not in good condition.

I have been to both Sepang and City Kart, trust me the karts in City Kart are much faster compared to Sepang. City Kart also has wet tyres now :)

Cant remember actual kart cc in sepang but pretty sure it's 4stroker.

Yes as mavik say, the city kart felt faster. And lane is wider for fast corner. Elite is fast too and the elevation changes add variety to the drive.

Either way be on lookout for more info.

Okay time to hit the gym! Otherwise I need to bring a few sack of rice for the others for weight penalty hehehe

In the rain, there's no other way to drive the go kart fast other than to slide/drift it.. Otherwise, it'll understeer... Even have to brake hard to kick the tail out a bit to tighten the line at the fast right sweeper near the slope...

I love the rain.. hahaha....

City Karting had always been on 80cc and 100cc 2 stroke kart engine.... Sepang is 4 stroke...

City Karting karts are better maintained compared to the rest... Haven't been there for ages...

Rental karts are roll of dice... That's why I would stick around to observe other customers' run first and see which one look like ok before I go pick my kart.... ;)

For big sized fellas like me not much choice, only a few karts have the black larger seats

technically, there was a slight disadvantage for you all eventhough I started from the last place of the grid as I have been trained before when I was in my previous company which had pro asia kart drivers and champion. I am not at their level but learning from them helps somewhat.
actually maybe we should have more practice and form a team to join inter club endurance race. used to be backup driver for my company team. my teammates average weight are 10 - 20 kg lighter than me.

I need to hit the gym soon!!!

as a reference example, my former company manager was Asian veteran champion. he weights I think around 10 kg more than me but even if he starts 2 karts length behind on grid he can still overtake at the end.
