Do let us know when you can get it to work with other program. I have tested it with many program but cant
seem to get the connection and the handshake between the scanner and the car module.

seriously.. let me sort it out first. I will do the screen capture and compile it in pdf format.
will PM a link to those in the group buy for downloading the instruction.
 
Will do.... but if you the sifu cannot get it working..... hmmm.... but just need to check what type of raw data come out then use a virtual com port... done that with MODBUS, if the same concept works, then it should work ... otherwise more test lor..

woh, you also deal with MODBUS. Use that protocol for my PLC work while interfacing different machine built.

Suggest that you use "hyper terminal" to see the raw data via comm port.

Alternative, you can connect a "Data terminal" analyser to monitor the serial port.

Whats happening in MMZ this weekend? Is there a TT there? I didnt see any threads.about it...or I might be missing it. Or is it solely for distributing the scanners?

I am having problem to distribute the scanner. Therefore, I am arranging this meetup to distribute it.

Of course, can TT also lar. Anybody can join. it will be a good chance to exchange idea and meeting friends.

rubes, sorry I dont think the scanner 1.4.0 usb driver can be installed for win7 - 64 bits.

I tried it yesterday with the scanner 1.4.0 (under group buy) and the driver could be installed. However, it cannot establish
the communication.

However, when i did the same thing with my 3-in-1 scanner, it works.
i think maybe the usb firmware could be different. Will sort it out later when I have the time.

here is the picture of my advance 3-in-1 as compare to the scanner 1.4.0
There are 2 usb port. The one with the white mark is for the scanner 1.4.0 and the other
usb port is for bmw dash 2.0.

again from the bottom of my heart i thank you for yr effort for this 2nd GB.:top:
i shall start downloading the programme to my computer tonite and maybe proceed to play with my 4 wheel friend till sunup....who knows.....
 
ahhhhhhh.....finally managed to download and install the programme and the driver.....hooked it up and scanned but not many modules were detected.....have yet to go to the coding pages and the live data page.....too tired oledi...age has caught up i suppose.....zzzzzzzzzz :sleep:

and thanks for the scanner. i'm eager to install it and scan my car,hehhe..purposely left the airbag light up, want to try the scanner to clear it...

The demo version can work without the modem but the full version need the modem to work.

Program and USB driver can work well with WinXP and Window 7 (32 bits), but cannot work with Win 7 - 64 bits.
