Can the immediate past PM and current PM explain where he is leading us?

Am not a big fan of Pak Lah ... His tenureship was a disaster exacerbated by his greedy and power hungry son in law.

Hopefully our PM Najib can remedy the situation as soon as possible.

You are absolutely right bro... Let's continue hoping in our dreamland, crossed our fingers, toes & whatever we can..

Somehow if one cant accept the facts and keep championing their own thoughts, refuse & reluctant, blind-folded, it would be a disaster, the future will be ruined. That's the biggest problem we are facing, lots dont see the root to the problem... It's happening, even here, in such a small community..whereby the real powerful ones are enjoying themselves out there :) I must agree, many would fight for sake of fighting rather than knowing what they are fighting for...

Stay Healthier, Fitter & Leaner...

Btw, that son-in-law is still in a position of power and even if everyone knows his political sins, did Uncle N do anything? Uncle N could have fired him right after the last GE.

And your problem with UMNO is ????

Anyone can critise BN as it is a component of many political parties. Your logic of BN=UMNO is flawed to say the least and proof enough you're post are always politically motivated and have racial sentiments to it.

You mean BN is not equal to UMNO? But that would mean majority does not rule?!?!?! That can't be right!

Why is it when someone shares his or her opinion, it becomes a racial issue when there is non in the first place?

who are the real culprits causing racial tension? look at kelantan, even the chinese vote for PAS. have you ever thought for a minute how this is possible?

do you really think people are really racial in this country? if so, then I would not be served makan in a malay restaurant or my charges would be different or the chinese repairman would not repair the problematic BMW brought in by a malay driver...

what i am saying is, please be responsible with your remarks. it is very irresponsible of politician and certain people to bring up racial issues when there is none.

if you wish to rebut my remarks, you are most welcome to do so. I have chindian relatives and I also have malays relatives when my great-grandmother remarried and converted later in life in kelantan. i also have half siamese relatives. i also have half aussie cousins and we all have a good time during get togethers.

irregardless of whether or not its information from some tabloid, i also don't read the local newpapers because they are all owned by political parties and what we read is total crap and half truths with nothing much mentioned about your civil liberties and individual rights. these issues are linked with the rule of law and the separation of power.

again, if these topics are too heavy for you as you said earlier, then you have no right to talk about racial issues simply because you don't know what it means!!

Fantastic hellraiser! We recommend you to be our debater on TV3 debating the topic 'Racism in Malaysia-Does It Exist?' vs B33mEr.

First of all, I didn't know racism was such a critical issue in Malaysia that some people would use that to justify a point to what seemed to be an exchange of opinion. i mean, what in the world possessed this person to think that Malaysians are racist?

Racism, at its simplest form - discrimination based on race - qualifies but does that require this smart alec to tell us something we are not? Is there violence, massive prejudice or oppression going on in the streets?

I mean, how many of you consciously only befriend people of the same race, or would only share a bus with people of the same skin colour? It is human behaviour to be a little biased sometimes, but I'd like to think that in those instances, we could easily be biased against others from the same race as us.

What is most worrying is that using "racism" as an excuse to justify ones personal agenda.

Just sharing my thoughts again, by calling others racist, are you not in fact creating racism that may not have previously existed...creating more discrimination among fellow Malaysians in the process?

While I understand perfectly the "1Malaysia" concept the gomen is promoting, is this really something new? There was no name for it then, I'm not sure but what do you call a situation when Ahmad, Samy and Ah Chong sitting together over a cuppa teh tarik sharing racial jokes? Let's be honest....we do that all the time and this was way before the "1Malaysia" concept came out...and if this is not called racial harmony, then it must be "1Malaysia" before the "1Malaysia" was ever thought of. I mean, do you really need people to think of these things? Dunno about you guys but the gomen just insulted my intelligence. Last when I checked my IC it says Malaysian. Thats good enough for me and I don't need to prove anything more to my fellow Malaysians.

Seriously, to have this fella who hardly comes into the forum to suddenly pop-up and addressing an arguably non-existent racial issue comes across as ...i mean.....are YOU serious???

On another note, do we really need this someone to tell us we should love and appreciate all that the gomen is doing for us? Are we not allowed to have an opinion what we feel is not so right?

Bro HR, this is the problem of the obviosly shallow individuals who when faced with unsurmountable opposition, seeks refuge and shelter by inciting shallow and base issues such as racism...we see that everyday in our BN gomen...its who they are, people without substance. And the state this country is in is 100% due to their greedy, selfish and definitely due to their stupidity.

Now we see all the crap coming out everyday, latest about the RM11 Million paid out to another spinless unimaginative crony who didn't know how to cover himself not had the foresight when dealing with the Australian parties.

Its undeniable this current administration is seen as totally corrupt, and the people want them out for many reasons, one of which is promoting racism to the extent where our country is in such a deplorable state. This is not the Malaysia I was born to.

I see racism rearing up its ugly head more so now than before and the heart sinks when I see people resort to such underhanded tactics... Its unarguable that one such promoter of Racism and discrmination is our 'guest' B33mEr, who enters our house and spews this unsightly filth right at our hall. All because he can't sustain his shallow arguments with lucid facts and shuns anyone's opinion and faces criticism by using the spineless method of saying, "you are not a 'member' so you are not qualified to comment"...so typical of an extremist without the grey matter to know why... and undoubtedly not enuf grey matter to light an LED.... I personally dun think we need these sort of individuals who bring this filth to our house... I like my house clean

To all,

To Beemer,
Perhaps you really need to understand the concept of agree to disagree. We are all entitled to our own opinions and if you feel strongly for your opinion, it would certainly be very appreciated if you could substantiate your opinions with facts :)

I didn't click all of B33mer's link earlier in the thread cause I realised most of it were data from 2004.

Anyway B33mer, United Nations just released the World Foreign Investment Report and it shows a serious outflow of FDI in Malaysia.

You can read more about it here: http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/...ashing-because-investors-lost-faith-says-dap/

(No, just because DAP is complaining doesn't mean it's bullshit)

More information can be found here: http://www.unctad.org/Templates/Page.asp?intItemID=2441&lang=1
(Select Malaysia from the drop list)

I hope you're not going to say that the list is flawed and inaccurate just because it's researched by some "gwailo".

cheers.

If you like your house clean then don't use this forum as a platform to voice out your disgruntlement about a political party or the government  Practice what you preach bro :D ... Let's just use this forum to discuss which all of us are here in the 1st place which is about BMW!!!

Shallow arguments with lucid facts??? Have a ponder at your own statement  i wonder whose gray matter are in question?

Bro i have provided my opinion with facts and links where the discussion is about standard of living and the cost of living in this thread ... People can disagree if they want to

albundy have gone one issue after another in this very thread then he mentioned about TDM then he highlights about UMNO ... already told him that it is a sensitive issue and yet he still wants to go on about UMNO, which represent the Malay people. It is very hard not to think there is no racial sentiment to it.

BN = UMNO, MCA and MIC mainly. One does not do anything without the consent and agreement of the other two.
Whether people like it or not, BN has been steering this country towards the modernisation of Malaysia and it's economy from mainly plantation to manufacturing and hopefully towards the k economy, tho they have their faults imo i don't see any other political alliance that can do better than BN.

Talking bout UMNO is sensitive now bro?

I dont think UMNO is the ONLY party to represent the Malay people, they cant just claim that. PAS also represents Malays, So does PKR, so does DAP, and so does many other parties. A political party supports its members.

But then again the Malays who are not party members to all the above, ( not politicians in any way) they dont support any of the parties above. These are the people who expect the Goverment of the day to be fair to all the people, the rakyat of Malaysia.

They want the Goverment of the day to be accouuntable and resposible to the public , just like any Malaysian.

Are we getting that now? hardy mate.. hardly!!

bro, you're right about the hardly coming into the forum bit. what i actually meant to say was hardly participate in the more serious bits. my bad...

i can't answer on bundy's behalf but you seem to be doing a good job speaking on behalf of the gomen...

however, this is my opinion...

Pak Lah and his power hungry son in law are from UMNO. Najib is from UMNO. There seems to be some pattern here don't you think?

All Prime Ministers of Malaysia are from UMNO and not from the other party components.ie. MCA and MIC so its pretty obvious why UMNO was mentioned. Again, this is just my own layman opinion.

Eh...? are you telling me now all your facts and opinions are all about fuel subsidies and not pro-gomen? If they are not pro-gome then why are we not discussing about fuel subsidies specifically? why are you not doing so yourself? why are you just not discussing about BMW as you say?

co'mon bro...why say people are straying from the topic when you are doing no better yourself. not a racist remark i hope...

Since 1946 yes it is .. it represent a large majority of Malay people and the only party that represent and champion Malay rights likewise MCA and MIC respectively. No one can escape from the simple fact that race based politics is the order of the day in Malaysia ... What binds them is the political will and the mutual respect for each other race, cultural and religious values to make Malaysia a country for everyone to live in peace and harmony. Subsequently it also makes Malaysia a fertile ground for FDI.

We have a 1malaysia policy under Najib. We just have to wait and see where this policy will lead us in terms of fairness for everyone.

If albundy wants to critisize BN the go ahead it's not a problem for me... But why does he want's to criticise UMNO? For what reasons??? I already told him it is a sensitive issue .. He should respect that and just leave it at that.
