" Free " modification at AB ... Glenmarie

well, i think its very subjective as to which sales advisor attended to u.

i've jsut sent my car for inspection 1 in Sg besi, my sales adviosr did check everything b4 sending my car in.. i was there too when he inspected on all the corners..

there was a little dent on my rear bumper, n he pointed out to me, to prevent any blames later on..

he did a good job i should say... very attentive guy..

i had my 1st service in Glenmarie, but i still prefer sg. besi even though its a bit run down.

yohji, which branch u sent u car too?

Guys,

Just sent my car for servicing at AB jb today coz they got promotion.
After free 20 point checking and test drive (took half day to settle although not many car n many mechanics), cannot start the car!!!!

They checked it was crankshaft sensor fault. I feel suspicious since b4 that it was ok. Luckily I already bought at sg & keep spare in my car. If not surely hv to pay 400 plus for the sensor only! And they not allowed cust at service area. This is my first n last time to AB. A lot of specialist in market.
Thats why I stay with my car everytime goes to workshop.
My signal also kaput and water inside my headlamp!! damn!
I wash my car everyday also no problem. and they drive cust car like test car!!

More curse towards AB.... lucky i've never been to AB...further more mine is a decade old gum...wonder wat wud i expect if i sent it to them.

Lesson learnt
#1 Never go to AB
#2 Never leave your car unattended....nice to see, nice to hold, once broken...not my problem
#3 Ah Beng shop more friendly and cares better for car than AB....support Ah Beng shop :yahoo:

:getyourfactsright: Damn now I found my headlamp masuk air!! They must spray water too hard and now I know that my sensor damage is their fault!!

jsen , i went to AB Glenmarie ...

ya , last time i used to request Mr. Hoo to served me .. coz he is more friendly ,

and of course more pro ... he did check all the dented n scratches , and even cds

inside ur cd changer , toolboxe ... etc ..

he even help me to claim back my door rubber seal after my warranty period, all

four pierces plus realign my door. but unfortunately he transfered to AB sg besi

few months ago .. that y this things happen ...

wa .. how come u know to keep a spare crankshaft sensor inside ur car ???

u oledi know this wil happen ? or six sense ???

rili lucky for u .. if not they will 'Potong' kau kau ... RM 400 ++ for the sensor ,

then RM 150 ++ for the workmanship .. :beaten:

One day, I was at a BMW-day event at a mainstream udm dealership in the Sg Besi area (ahem), when the sales guy suggested I go for the free 10-point check which comes with free car wash.

After check and wash, my fog lamp, which had a minor crack earlier, was totally split wide open.

I suspect their use a fire-hydrant-pressure type of water spray when cleaning the car.

Cost me 200 bucks to get replacement lamp.

Nothing is free in life.

I bought the car 2nd hand so just keep stock since I got to know this thing always breakdown. sumore its cheaper in sg onli SG$90. also keep water pump in my boot onli SG$45. Always do preventive maintenance coz dont like breakdown as onli hv 1 car and drive a lot.

what mouse said is right. sympathies yohji.

it's always a big headache when we need to send our cars. i will always try and make time to wait it out. whenver i can lar. that is.

i still believe the advisor plays a big role in this.

my two sens worth, CHOOSE your advisor wisely. if you are not comfortable from the beginning with him or her, stop the service. try another service advisor or another branch.

that the best i can think of so far.

ps : dont think a beng work shop don do this. they also do. but my a beng is very good lar .... SO FAR

The ah beng shop that i normally go wud even tapau minum and makan for me ahh.....unless u wud prefer hot milo at AB

But then of course profesionalism in handling cars at ah beng shop is another issue but if some still prefer third class hi n bye at AB....itz merely up to their own...as long as the car vroom off healthly.
