It has happened before. I know of someone who has lost a new 7 series from AB Glenmarie before while it was in for a service (i.e. stolen).

Not sure if this is the only case, or there are similar cases before.

Hey hey hey... U think he wants to throw the chair? He was frustrated with the manager's response that it's not his fault and he can do nothing about it. I am sure if you are at the situation... u would not get into such situation if the manager would at least apologize and assure that he will look into it and no such thing would happen again.
If it was me... I will surely blast him upside down too. It was them who forgotten to remind the owner to take away his belongings and double check what's in the car before taking in his car.
OK... QUIKFLYER... Hope if it do happens to you... u wont react like that and will just blame urself ?? HmMm... if tht's the case.. GOOD!!!! :stupid:

Not wanting to sound righteous and all, but using physical actions such as chair throwing is definitely not up my alley. I mean what can you get by using violence? By right, if you were to throw chair, the security guards should be summoned and escort you out immediately.

If this happens to me, no doubt I will 'blast' him upside down, but in a more civilised manner la. I would demand to speak someone of a higher authority and jot down all their names. If he's the management then make sure you call the BMW HQ first thing, given your case is valid. We have the right to 'blast' but just make sure it's done the proper way and proper channel.

From what I heard, AB wanted the owner to make a police report and claim insurance which of course the owner refused as it'll impact his NCB etc. At the end after escalating to BMW Malaysia, they gave him heavy discounts on another 7 series, but he still had to fork out $$$, but got a new car.

at the entrance to the service center at ab glenmarie and other branches is a notice that clears them of any missing items from ur car. so, they're covered their ass legally. anyway, being careless is no excuse to throw a chair at someone.
but that's my opinion of course.. :)

UPDATE -

already 1 month passed and i didnt received any call from the AB regarding claim the RM680 lower arm or any other news from them.Really DISSAPOINTED of their after sale service.

moral of the story, PLEASE listen follow members's advice and dont think just try it then only feel pain!my next service will be at INGRESS AUTO DAMANASARA,just hope they wont igroned me since my car from AB.

Hey bro, ITS FREE wash, every time you send in your ride for maintenance or even minor warranty claims...
Really....I have been to Ingress 4 times....each time they also washed my car with BMW Car Care products...

You don't get a FOC wash if you just dropped in for fresh brewed coffee & cheese cake....

Thats why I strongly suggest Ingress to everyone here in the house.....

Go try them out for any minor or major issues with your ride...call me when you go there...(I love their coffee & cake)....

forget it la,when i change my suspension and fix the lower arm outside i already confirm i want to give up that kind of " WARRENTY " one.I just want to share the story here about they promises give back me the RM680 at the end its nothing.i think the most important warrenty part its the gear box n engine, cos that's very noticeble when something wrong and not same like those problem only come from " sound ".

really regret didnt buy car at ingress auto since i heard so many good feedback from them, dont know why that time i'm so " cow " go for AB since i heard a lot about they xxxx Service!

but i worry one thing its when ingress auto's customer grow n grow, they will change like AB or not...who know in the future...

cheers all

paul

I have talked to the senior guys at Ingress and their secret in providing good service is in their processes. In fact, one of 'em took time off to work and study how things are done in one of the world's largest BMW centre overseas for 6 months! Now, that's what I call commitment to excel.

I do hope you guys be fair to them cos they don't make money from servicing your minor gripes and complaints. If you find them good, it's only deserving that they get to do your regular servicing as well. Intro buyers to them too. This kinda of goodwill has it's long term benefits, both ways!

Paulpaul2, please mind your language! This is a public forum for which a lot of us have tirelessly worked to preserve its reputation and standing. I won't warn you again!
