Nice bro... how u managed to get your F14s so quickly? U have stockist in M'sia? Think u should have gone straight to 20" though.

i think bro manjohari wait impatiently for it aslo , i book mine in july i think his around the same time ?

but its year end usually there are some owner who will drop the offer to takeup the car as its a year end car , do talk to you SA .

what tire are u using??? how much are they???

time to lower the car too... hehe, poison dose number 1...

michellin ps2
245/40R19 front & 275/35R19 rear
cost me RM6k for 1 set

bro willie & ck318i,

yeap.. had that in mind, but now a bit busy, lots of wedding ceremony need to attend over the weekends...

target it sometime early next year with bodykit.

Dude, any adverse effect to the performance of the car particularly acceleration with such big rims and rubbers attached to it?

err... to be franked, i fell much better on the handling and acceleration, except higher noise level :)
i do believe weight playing important rule here...
most BMW rims are much heavier, style 351 M (19" @ 32lb/14.53kg), style 331 (19" @ 16.1kg)
compare to forgestar (19" @ 25lb/11.36kg with lighter non-RFT) and original 17" (17" @ 9.93kg with heavier RTF)

i guess below would give better explaination
Newton's 2nd law:
Force = mass*acceleration
Force = Weight*acceleration/gravity
Acceleration = F*gravity/Weight

So for the same force, heavier the rims, acceleration would be reduced.

Torque = r * Force
Acceleration = Torque/r * gravity/Weight

maybe for 520d the effect is not much with higer torque compare to 523i with slightly increase weight.

**Note: it's been long time i studied those, maybe i messed up somewhere hehe.... also u can't deny "placebo effect" which make me bias after spending much money

Then, bro manjohari, the PROPER equation is:

[ $ x £]*P/¥ = effect of handling & acceleration

Where:
$ = cost of tyres
£ = cost of rims
¥ = amount of nagging by wife (or wife to be)
P = placebo effect

Heheheh... Congrats on the wicked rims again, bro :)

bro wobbles,

yeah.. u're absolutely right... i wish i could explain like u hehe..
too bad, i took engineering course and had hard time with my Economics 101 elective hehe...

probably i need to add one more variable to your equation
G = brand new Gucci for my wife (to reduce the nagging effect ;) )

Singapore distributor don't carry stock. Worst, he recommend another brand when I told them I want Forgestar. Then he bad mouth the company saying that stocks takes forever to arrive. I have decided to stay with my F14s n stopped trying to offload them.

Is there an option to put BMW wheel center cap to the Forgestar rims?

Got my 520D today at AB KL,

initial review its an evolution step from E60 , lots of stuff are better enhanced from e60. especially PDC its fast.

next wheel mod / engine mod ( acs5 ecu ) ?...

but must wait for break in first.

It's time to make yourself count in the F10 roll call mate!

yes sir,
rollcall completed.

quick question to f10 owner, mine headlight after big rain , there is water condensation built in is it normal ?
so far found out 2 issue , one of the door handle LED , did not light up and passenger door have some noise .
will send to quill/AB service center next week to fixed these, thus checking if my head light issue is normal

No better get it checked for leaks

Confirmed 100% NOT normal, no matter BS your sales agent may try to sell you - get the headlamp changed (or at least the seals repaired)

found the answer on page 283 on the car manual. cool or humid weather the exterior light can mist over when light is switch on the condensation disappears ..... in th event of more extensive moisture , for example water droplet in light , have this checked at service center.

so will monitor since this 2 month is raining season.

bro dark1234, if the water vapour goes away, fine - because if you check carefully, there are drain holes in the bottom plate of the headlamp units - but, I wouldn't accept water droplets IN the headlamp units themselves, because this might mean that there's a LOT more water seepage than what is expected. Good luck!
