got it fix today... the whole process take abt 3 hours...

Results....
Actually not to what i expected... car felt slightly heavier compare to before seal repalce at 2.5k rpm..
but when reach 3.5k rpm the power are almost the same as before replacement..

Maybe it need to be run in first for abt 320km like what the manual has said to have the optinum performance..

Will keep u guys update...

Maybe there was nothing wrong with your VANOS seal in the first place?

I replaced my old VANOS seal abt 30k km ago...

I've a assumption that the Beisan seal will actually helps in performance esp at low & mid range comparing to our OEM seal...

Maybe i'm wrong?

Ahh then theres your answer bro ... Your seals were most probably still in good condition when you install the Beisian seal. Beisian seals are never about adding performance it's more for restoring the performance and the power delivery characteristic's ... The materials used by Beisan are designed for longevity as compared to OEM's vanos seal and that's about it really.

When putting in the new seals, did your mech also used the timing tools to ensure timing is correct??

This is a quote I obtained from the Vanos forum:-

Seals break-in

When new, Teflon seals will have a rough milled surface. After a period of use, the contact surface will be polished and have lowered contact friction. Thus at initial installation Teflon seals will not perform well, but their performance will increase progressively in a short period. Optimum performance can be expected after ~500 miles (800 kilometers) of city driving.

According to Beisan, the original vanos seals would last no more than 30K km. Read more about vanos seal http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/439158

That's marketing talk from Beisan bro there's no way an ori Vanos seal would fail on that short mileage unless of course you never had an oil change during that time. Regular oil change will definitely prolong the original Vanos oil seal. I just passed 35k miles on my car so far so good
