What is happening to all these luxury brands giving their consumers crap equipment levels? Even the Korean cars are better equipped and the leathers are soft to the butt...Give us the same equipment level across the range and let us choose what driving dynamics we want...after all, BMW is all about the driving experience.

is the F30 328 comes with contactless opening of tailgate? Can't see it in the specs my SA emailed to me.

It's only available in the F30 335i.

It's part of the comfort access package, I do believe.

Anyone has more info on this comfort access package?
The contact less opening is quite cool and convenience

Had a self induced flat at the rear tyre of my F10 today whilst travelling back from Sepang F1. Self induced meaning I over emptied the tyre pressure with the aim of re-pressurising at the Petronas pump. Loud explosion ensued, the pump hose blew up! Couldn't re-pressure, and feared the prospect of a flat in the middle of no-where. Fortunately, that Petronas had another pump about 50 metres away (and luckily, it was working). Mourned the fact that I had switched to non-RFTs when I changed to M Sports 350M rims. Then realised my RCZ comes with Conti mobility kit FOC including electronic pump. With BMW, you switch to non-RFTs, you're basicly screwed. The BMW mobility kit costs a bewildering RM750. So, this is just another instance, you want more, it hurts your wallet, heh :p

The only consolation though, I was caught in a supercar convoy with R35s, F430s, 911s etc, and having just past the 2,000 kms run in period, I could floor the F10 for the first time! Combination of twin power turbo, 8 gears in DS Mode and Sports+, the F10 felt really sweet, constantly on the "sweet spot" even in the lower state of tune (520i). My E92 in 323i form could never feel so racy. Made my day.

Unfortunately, for us in Malaysia, we cannot quite customize the cars with the packages that we want. We get what BMW Malaysia decides, in the pre-packaged variations that they have.

The comfort access that is included in the 335i is the contact-less opening of the booth, and the unlocking/locking of the door by pressing on the ridged lines on the door handle with the key in your pocket.

Perhaps there is more, and someone more knowledgeable would explain the rest.

Bros, can anyone with good insider info on MSport launch? If Q3, it's very soon and it will be heart breaking to get the car now :(

The various SA and sales manager that I have spoken to regarding the issue reinforce that it will only be launched locally next year, however, everyone suspects they say that because they want to push the local stocks first and make a quick sale now.

So, an educated guess would be as early as Q1 next year, but I won't be surprised if it takes longer (with MITI needing to approve the MRSP and all).

Hi ade,i was told due to market positioning and analysis of M'sian mkt,the current spec is as it is fr head of mkting of BMW Msia!to me,i still feel shortchanged for such a prestigious brand!!

Let's see if the new F30's comfort access works better than on the e90. The one on my 325 sucks and last week met new workshop manager in AB Glenmarie, Mr Muthu, he informs me too many e90s having comfort access issues.
