F30 Maintenance & Services

Hi all, I'm an expat newbie here. just bought 2nd hand CKD F30 (320i-2013).
As this car is a 2nd hand car, I'm not a local here and I'm new to BMW, I need your kind advice regarding maintenance & services.
The previous owner has mentioned that he got serviced in Ingress Auto so far. (under warranty period)

Current problems are;
A: time to change engine oil now
B: something's wrong with right-front lower arm (causing noise).

Need your advice;
1. As it's not under warranty, do you recommend me to visit official service center? such as ingress auto?
2. Please recommend me reliable nearby outside workshops for BMW (working KL Sentral / staying Mont Kiara)
3. Please advise me the general maintenance cost on my F30 (service center and outside workshop)
4. If I want to repair the front lower-arm, how much would the repair cost be?

since not under warranty, not required to bring to BMW service centre, I recommend bomin auto @ jln Ipoh, KL

congrats on ur ride. i hope u asked the previous owner a copy of the maintenance records (invoices, bills etc) so u can assess what has been changed so far throughout his ownership. also it would give u some ideas on what to do next in terms of preventive maintenance.

going to official service center is totally up to u. plus point is assuming u r going back to ingress, they would have a record of what has been repaired/serviced. with that, it comes with a premium price. outside workshop generally tend to be cheaper, but ur gonna b on a blank piece of paper where the workshop can claim/tell u a million n one thing to change. thats where the previous maintenance records come in handy where u r able to prioritize n decide. build a good relationship with the workshop and it'll do wonders to ur maintenance bills to come.

on general maintenance cost, assuming its a simple change of engine oil n filter, expect a difference of arnd 20-30% in favor of outside. maybe some of the f30 guys here can confirm/correct this.

got an offer from BMW to extend warranty

Warranty - 3 years or 100,000km
BSRI - 2 years or 200,000km

top up MYR 9,600

i foresee that i'll do around 2000km per month ... is it worth it for the extension ?
