i'm not putting my hopes high on them resolving an intermittent problem which seems mechanical in nature. just want to replace engine oil after 7,500 kms; 15,000 kms for first service is a bit ridiculous methink. Sat 8.30am appointment at Ingress.

Nevermind that...just in case Ingress managed to exceed your expectation and able to identify the cause of the problem, do let us know lah.
I have that uneasy feeling that something down there is not as "tight" as it should be (the car that is, pun not intended! haha) when running over uneven surface, eg humps or potholes

I'm having the problems you are facing number 1 (very very annoying to me) and 3 (seems nothing can be done so far).

I'm also having problem no 1. Sigh.. annoying!! Also since few days ago.. my steering wheel start to make sounds when i maneuver left to right and vice versa. anyone experience this steering sound?

Bro nexavibe,

The sound from your steering when turning may be caused by a manufacturing defect in the "steering angle sensor". I do experience some "scrapping noise" whenever I turn my steering wheel (albeit only very subtle). The service advisor opened up and checked and told me it is the steering angle sensor. Apparently I was informed that there are quite a few units of F30 that have this problem and the defective parts needs to be brought in directly from Germany, thus might have to bear with the noise for a while. I'm still waiting for Quill Auto to call me when the relevant parts have arrived.

Hope this helps

Went for 1st (sendiri bayar) service at Ingress earlier. It was by far the best and most pleasant experience I've had at an authorised service centre. When i got there at 8.30am, the service advisor whom i made an appointment with was already waiting infront of the building. His reception was most courteous and professional. I went for a roti canai breakfast after signing off the jobsheet, and i was still at the mamak tcss with a buddy when i received a call from the service advisor saying that my car was ready for collection. It was 10am. No other authorised centre carries out a lube job that quick. My car was already parked infront when i got there 10 minutes after receiving the call, and it was cleaned much better than a lot of car wash joints i know. Driving away, i was surprised how much smoother the engine is after an oil change performed at 7.5k kms. I'm glad i didn't wait for the recommended service interval at double the distance.

However as expected they didn't find anything loose that could have been causing the intermittent knocking sound. The last time i heard it was on my way back from Cherating last week, so hope it's gone for good.

My friend and I are having the same noise from the front right hand side. It has been confirmed due to steering rack issue. Needed to wait for replacement parts, maybe September or so.

My front passenger door and rear right door is having some rattle sound, it has been removed and fixed twice by BMW mechanic, unfortunately the rattling sound still audible. I am bringing my car back to the dealer again this week.

it could very well be the same culprit in my car; trouble is the sound isn't persistent enough for the mechs to identify.

Guys, just wanna check....does yr rear lights turn on when u drive during daytime, say afternoon? This is assuming that u set the lights to auto....

an air filter can easily last for 20k km, i dont think the WS will change it at 7.5k km, unless u request.

Aiya this guy got lots of money. Change air filter like oil filter interval... hehe...

Some people "don't Change",just keep adding n adding to collection....

I am having the same issues like Ernawan has with the coolant low warning appearing. My F30 is only 4300km and after 2 attempts at the service center it's still showing the same issue. SC said the coolant level was fine and did a full bleeding on second attempt. Brought back for 3rd try and hope they can fix it this time.

Does anyone else have similar issues with the SKD F30? Please share your experiences.

Nope, no coolant warning issues so far Paul; 7,800kms now. Hope they fix your bug soon.

The auto rain sensor wipers caused my ECU faulty yesterday during a downpour drive. Handbrake indicator turn on constantly while driving, Auto start stop faulty, wipers can't turn off, auto locking faulty. What worried me was the malfunction could stalls my engine....
This is what i got from a car less than a month old beside rattling sound from my front suspension. Never ever thought a new car with such a reputable brand name will give me these kind of privileges to "enjoy"

Hi there! I have the same problem too. Currently, I am very frustrated with BMW Malaysia for not sincerely trying to solve the problem. It seems like I am not the only one with such problems. I got my ECU replaced after having to wait for about 2 weeks. As for the noise problem from the front suspension, I am still waiting for the parts to arrive. They claim to make the delivery as quick as possible and yet, it still requires about 1 month's time. Can't we do something about BMW Malaysia? Also, I got to know that the noise is also caused by a problematic steering rack. You better have it checked by your service centre.
