Hi all,From the point I drove my spanking brand new unit out to the dealer, I detected some squeaky sound at the front undercarriage area. It has not gone away and in fact is more prominent now. Got the dealer to inspect and service adviser found an issue with the suspension system which need to be replaced. However they do not have spares and will need to be shipped in. WTF !!!!!Can anyone advise what my possible actions are especially with BMW Malaysia and who I can escalate this irritation to?Regards/lim

new models have limited spare parts hehe.. like my friends who bought new myvi having to wait for 3 months for new ori bumper. what's the symptoms like?

post your grouses on BMW Malaysia facebook page. first time i hear this complaint tho.. so far no issues with mine other than wind/road noise which i found is an F30 'character flaw'.

Did F30 still can hear the engine clatter sound while in cabin? Especially during idling and slow moving traffic?
F30 320d also using electric steering?

when idling/slow, yes can hear clatter; even with the petrol engine, tho less than with the diesel.

Thanks. This is not a character flaw, clearly a manufacturing defect. What happened to quality control? How can they install a defective part? I have since written to them officially. See what the reply is before I take it publicly. It is so annoying and disappointing.

I have the same issue with those sound developed from my front suspension when I got my car last 2 weeks ago. When I hit unsurface road the sound was very obvious like a 5 years old car. Haven't send in for checking due to busy schedule

Another annoying part is the wind noise at 130km/h. Very disappointed with the brand but I still proud of owning her.

ALL those "Flaws" are prevalent in the SKD units from my perspective. It shows that the "Malaysian" hands r not up-to-standard to handle the German tech or QC!!u may hv all the german technicians in the Kulim plant, but with the few malaysians handling the installations, lots of things can go pass the german's eyes, coz of low work ethics among malaysians!!So,from my point of view, these new vehicles dispatched to customers MUST hv 99% defect free condition,or BMW Msia shud just refund,n re-book a one.

Bro, i gotta see you car and hear this clatter thingy though Im not surprised since its a diesel. My petrol 328i has no clatter audible from the interior, but then again start/stop in play nost of the time though.Tyre roar yes slightly louder then an e90 but not that baad. Maybe during raya week?

Definitely cant compete the German quality. After visited Kulim factory I will try to avoid local BMW and always choose CBU model

In my case, I think it's not a assembly issue by local workers, more of defective parts than has escaped qc. Having not seen the plant, I can't comment but there should be some German infused process that should weed out defects issue. If not, then it is a problem with BMW and not local workers fault.

Believe me,i've seen how Malaysian do their work on such high tech machines...i mean not all,but in the plant, only 1 out of 10 Malaysian would show high integrity of work.many, many workshops,i come across the attitude of "tak-pe","macam tu dah cukup","tak payah banyak kerje","sikit-sikit dah la tu"....tat sort!!some fussy-pot customers r made to feel as though they r awkward or weirdos, but its the work ethics of malaysians tat cause such unreliability!i watch like a hawk at any mechanics working on my car,n i was referred as "lagi teruk dari puspakom"...n i still spotted lots of neglect!!

sure bro.. call me.

I just collected my F30 last weekend, and so far the issue I face is the driver's door. It just doesn't close as well as the other doors. The driver's door has to be closed considerably harder than the order doors. Have yet to check if there are any other issues. I am already not happy about the door issue considering this is my first continental car. I'm just hoping there aren't any other issues.
