It seems that it is used to demist or defrost something as the water will be heated before spraying on the headlamp... while our country is warm enough not to fit the headlight washer gua...
my last e60 was a recon unit from UK , it does come with headlight washer, activated every 4 / 5 pull for window washer. the function is good for muddy enviroment, else i do not see the need for it .

one of my ride has the adaptive light + washer. i find the washer is not needed here. infact, dirty the car more. cos when you spray it on the headlamp, the dirt will trickle to the sides, dirtying the other side panels of your car.

the adaptive thingy, good to have but not a must. There is this another feature which i find it to be more useful than the adaptive light. when you turn your car to either left or right, there is another side light that will illuminate the area which you are turning to, i find it to be more useful than the adaptive.

so, not really a loss if you don't have it in your car (referring to adaptive and washer).

There is nothing wrong with the specs, only the tax =) all the money that should have gone to pay for the specs has gone to the tax. i paid for a recond f10 535i for less than a 520i,and i have adaptive headlights, lane deviation warning, headlights washer, high beam assists among other things.

A RM588k BMW X5 doesn't have Comfort Access either. Neither does it have keyless start.

There's something really wrong with the specs of BMW cars in Malaysia. It's like you get the body and the engine... and not much else.

My father's merc comes with high beam assist, but i found it doesn't really work well in our road condition (basically it just sit there until it detects a really pitch black environment) so for me not a must... however, the 'dynamic' assist, i found it to be quite useful esp when u are making a turn...

It is good to have especially when you are comparing to korea or jap car. Don't know why it does not have as it does enhance the comfort and safety.

Well guys, 528i that i drove also doesnt fit with washer. to me, adaptive headlight and washer is not a must in malaysia. but at least come with comfort access and comfort seat as an option also i rather bmw malaysia spec the cars with lane departure warning and speed warning and also blind spot assist. if all these mentioned were to come, then its worth even i paid with hefty tax in malaysia. lol...

ya, lets campaign to the BMW to bring in the comfort access as a standard feature for their car! hehe

Adaptive headlight i found out to be very usefull on kampong road ... it gave u extra visibility on blind sector whenever u turn ..
