Hi. Just got my pre-reg 520d F10 from Ingress.
Does it come with intermittent wipers ? Its very irritating when it rains because the wipers on go full on or off. So in a drizzle , I'm constantly pushing, pulling the wiper stalk control because there is no intermittent function! The Auto wiper function does not appear to be able to detect the drizzle and is next to useless!
Is this normal or is my car defective?
Thanks!

Hey, I have the same problem too. I used the auto wiper function but it seems like when the rain gets heavier, the wiper doesn't speed up according to the rain level. This problem occurs occasionally and 70% of the time! it's functioning normally. I drive a 2013 F10 520d also.

At the end of the stalk, on the side, there is a button to on/off the auto wipers.

Press, and a green LED will light to indicate auto wipe is on. However, in BMW cars they don't stay permanently on (as in if you restart the car, the auto wipers is off). This is due to in countries that snow, if the blades freeze and the wipers start when there is snow on the glass as soon as the engine starts, it will rip the blades off. Though I heard you can program it outside... not sure, and not planning to touch that.

Yeah. I just took my car in for its 1st service. They say this is normal and there have been many complaints. I asked if they could reprogram it so I could have an intermittent wipe setting. They said no :(

Rain sensor isn't doing a good job and its not only for the F10 but same issue for F30. I need to toggle on and off Auto mode depending on situations. Most often I'll manually activate my wipers...
