bro, flip through your OBC stalk to get to settings when your car is stationary and you should be able to find the DRL setting! These and many other tips can be found in the manual, eg, which doors you'd like to open when you unlock, auto door locking after you get in and drive off, etc etc. hope this helps, enjoy exploring the complexities & features of your new car!

Hi DavidC, you managed to get your DRL's on? Do you keep them on during the day in your day to day driving within KL/PJ area? I only switch it on when my wife drives, so that other drivers will watch out for her, heheheh.... (she can be a very "fast" driver at times - her excuse is, "when I tekan, the car jalan".."so not my fault"...) but when I drive within KL/PJ, I do not switch them on. I usually switch the DRL's only when I go out of KL/PJ, or when using trunk roads.... :)

The Pre-2008 E90 CKD no DRL if not mistaken. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi y'all ...
I have a 2010 323i. I keep the DRL's on at all times .

I have 2 reasons
1 ) It is really so much more safer especially since people notice your car while driving . this is truly a safety thinggy
2) When i come up fast behind cars during the day ,i do not need ot flash ...the road just clears up . try it and ull know what im talking about .

Ive had only one person ever point at my light during the day while my car was moving and try tosignal me that my lights were on . never ever happened after that ...so i dont think it really annoys anyone ..
in addition ...the car with the lights on is soooo pretttyyyyyyy !!!!!

:) hope that helped

HI AndreC... hehe... I just realised that i have been driving my e90 with DRL on..... just realised it after so long... i am using the auto function for my lights...hehe.... cool.... since 320 does not comes with iDrive, the DRL will automatically turn on when i use the auto mode... hehe... cool ... i like it.. hehe...

haha... what your wife said really make sense... hehe... tekan and jalan... unlike my car.... no torque.... hehe.. so i reckon that i need the DRL to impress ppl...

toiletroll, DRL and auto headlights function are two separate things. You can have them on or off individually without iDrive. Check your manual :D

DRL needs to be enable through the OBC and activation is through the light switch set to "A" or auto.

Check your manual :D

Buying a car in Malaysia is so damn expensive...so by virtue, if you are driving a udm, regardless of model, you are deemed to be rich (unfortunately i dont fall in that category).
Thus people will look at you whenever you are driving your Ultimate Driving Machine, regardless whether your DRL's are on or off...
So people, if you have DRL's, turn it on...its for safety..its there for a reason

On the contrary, I prefer to be unnoticed. Being spotted in a flashy mint condition current generation quarter million Ringgit BMW on our notorious road with frequent car-jack incidents, is not a smart move. I specified a black color E90 for the same reason.

I only turn the DRL on when on spirited drive..

AB, your car even at night also look so 'bllink blink" la...how not to be flashy...with or without DRL's your car still attract attention. A black car will stand out even more during the day

Then I better upgrade the tail light with the Blackline series, so it looks like VIOS from far.. :p

Sorry but to me, DRLs are bling. IMO, the silliest looking DRLs are the LED ones on Audis, Porsches and now Mercs. I hope BMW never adopt those.

The OEM white corona rings on the F10 has started to disgust me. It looks aftermarket.. Perhaps they made the call due to the more energy efficient LEDs. The LCI E9x corona rings are the sexiest IMHO.
