e30 firewall/floorboard/engine swap

Just wanna share some work that have been done on my ride.My engine finally blew up one day so decided to replace with with a half cut. Was considering a jap engine, but after some thoughts, i think its better to stick to german power decided on a block from a 88 525i half cut. However, after taking out the engine, to my horror, the entire firewall was reput..( you could literally pick the firewall using 1 finger...), and the floorboard also reput... was told that this is a common problem with old e30s

where did you sent your car to do the bodywork?

Looks like good work, be sure to seal the new metal with paint/coating and do complete check for leaks through the firewall or under the right fender to prevent future rust damage.

seems like a good job done, do keep us posted. The place i sent to did a shoddy job. Would need to send my car for another rust repair. pls share the location u had it done. tq
