Here's the plan....Jan 217am - Rendevous at Sg Buloh R&R7:15am - take off via PLUS8:45am - break in Ipoh9:15am - continue drive direct to BKH12:30pm - arrive BKH duty free. Clear customs1:30pm - Drive to Danok. Stay @ Oscar Hotel2:30pm - Let the games begin6:30pm - Re-group for dinner/evening activityJan 2212 noon - re-group for check out12:30 noon - drive to Haadyai1:30pm - arrive Haadyai, check in Hotel2:00 pm - sightseeing, visit places of interest, waterfall etc7:00pm - regroup for evening activitiesJan 23 (Optional day)12 noon - check out and leave Hadyai1:30pm - arrive BKH, hit highway3:30pm - tea break along PLUS highway R&R6:00pm - arrive Sg Buloh R&RThings to bring1. Valid Passport2. Car registration and insurance3. Yourself4. Loads of cash5. Your cellphoneAnd a great attitude for having fun in Thailand.Some logistical notes- Will be driving 2/3 to a car- Jan 21 and 22 are firm, Jan 23 is optional. Those who need to leave earlier can taxi with cars leaving on 22nd after lunch. Jan 28

9am - Rendevous at Sg Buloh R&R
9:15am - take off via PLUS
10:45am - break in Ipoh
11:15am - continue drive direct to BKH
1:30pm - arrive BKH duty free. Clear customs
2:30pm - Drive to Haadyai
3:30pm - Massage, free n ez
6:30pm - Re-group for dinner/evening activity

Jan 29

11am - re-group for check out
12 noon - lunch in Haadyai
1:30pm - leave Haadyai, check out border
2:30pm - In BKH, hit the highway
4pm - tea break along the highway R&R
6:30pm - arrive Sg Buloh R&R, convoy breakaway

Things to bring

1. Passport
2. Car registration, insurance
3. Yourself
4. Loads of cash
5. Your cellphone

And a great attitude for having fun in Thailand

P.S - The plan is to keep it an overniter so as it keeps cost low and the fun level at an all time HIGH!!!!

The last drive to Hatyai and songkla was superb..maybe can plan another one....me, dragon and some kakis detoured to a wonderful waterfall 15mins from hatyai town...hahahaha

Agreed. There are many new spots now even Danok has some serious fun, e.g. Hello Bangkok and WinterWonderland

Onli 3 days before this thread closes. Most people wanted drives...here it is and an exciting one at that. Join the drive at your own pace and tolerance level. The idea is comradeship, fun times and above all get to know one another at a more personal level. I have made the drive as flexible as possible to accomodate various complications.
