I thk even tho you have said that there are no fingers pointing on yr behalf but such remarks as this is not doing us good. So again do be professional is clarifying things. I can understand that you want to prove a point or being concerned but this is probably leading us nowhere.

Ever vigilant policing of forum contents wont raise our profile in the real world, real events will.... and this will get me started on the Official Shirt thingy again. I wont be surprised that we wont get the shirts ready by the BBQ, any committees wanna work harder to prove me wrong???

Actually I would look at the whole situation from a different angle, one which I hope would offer a little insight to you and share our predicament. You may not agree to it but at least, take it with an open mind.

Firstly, we have more or less understood how this all began, ie; forum policing and housekeeping. It started when BMW voiced its displeasure over the way the committee allows certain posting to be posted on this forum. And yet at the same time, when the forum was in a mess, with all threads being hijacked and some members privately complained that they have stopped reading because many threads are no longer relevant to their needs. We decided then to have a housekeeping exercise and the president posted the rules and regulations. The forum was quiet and such for a week or so until 5201 decided to start another thread called Hijackers thread. Now, isnt that a Direct Challenge to the committee and be ignorant to the rules and regulations posted by the elected President of this Club when its so clearly stated??

We amongst the committee did have a discussion on this matter. We decided to exercise some latitude and hence allowed some leeway on this matter. Some of us did even posted on that thread (I did, so did others) and we left it as such since we understand that not everyone is technically inclined and some are here to socialise. But what we realised later on, some members used this against the committee as a proof of practising double standards. One of them is Kinghamsap and two other more (Jipster and Keray). Worse to come, 5201 your fellow hijacker used this as well!! Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!

Which brings me to the next question, who is actually practising double standards here??!! It seems to me here we have a classic example of what is commonly called Acts of Hypocrisy. Here, it is implied that the committee shall not talk kok and post anything in the hijackers' thread but the common members shall be allowed to do so since the office bearers shall lead by example and show some civility to members. HEY!!! Isn't that having two set of rules, one for the committee (holier than thou!) and one for the members. If we wanna eliminate all this talk about double standards, let's all PLAY by the SAME rules! Lets not judged others, if you don't wanna be judged!

If you guys wanna make this club a better place for all, we are all up for it. I don't bear a personal grudge against anyone in this club, just because they are fat, ugly or plain stupid, to me its the behaviour not the person! As a matter of fact, when 5201 first joined the club he has PM me for assistance and I have helped him and many others that I don't personally know.

It still saddens me that some old-time forummers have walked out of the forum silently without saying a word cos they were offended by overboard and "harmful" profanities. One of them whom I dearly miss was a "foundation" committee member a.k.a. the "drag king" (the king who truly won our respect). Losing such fellas was one of the reasons why some friends in the Committee and I decided to make a stand on certain issues. I'm not pointing any fingers here as the culpable person has been banned.

I was being ahead of my time, and its none of my business how the committee works. As a leader, one have to demonstrate the vision and the integrity. If the members have to ask for the vision and proof of integrity, the leader have failed in its leadership role.

I applaud all the hardwork the committee have put in bringing the club to where it is, and all my best wishes (since my suggestions amounts to finger pointing) to the club's future.

This will be my last post on this matter (unless there is something new). I cant help but think this is getting no where as your replies on this thread do not even address the points I have raised.

As Alvin has pointed out, you are not merely seeking answers and clarification. Just look at your first post on this issue. Whether that amounts to finger pointing and slandering, you yourself know better. Maybe spare 5 minutes and try to read what others are saying. Or need not look so far, just read the last two paragraphs of your last posting. Just in case you don't know, that's what we called Inflammatory Remarks!

I am asking who are you representing as the spokesman for tsunami fund contributors, but you choose instead to evade my question. Let's all be transparent here and get to the bottom of all these slandering, finger pointing and accusation. If you did not contribute to the fund, then don't question where is the receipt or if you claimed some who did are asking for it at least tell us who they are! Isn't that a fair question? Or using this as an analogy, if you are not a shareholder of a company can you question the Management during the AGM?? Yes, the SILENCE IS DEAFENING!! Transparency??? Lets not just talk, but walk the talk! I am only interested in solving your so called ""grievances", SO HELP ME TO HELP YOU!!!

On the same token, I would also be grateful if you could shown examples where committee members have "crossed" the line or not being tactful when dealing with members. Maybe then we can reprimand each other and perhaps exercise more caution in the future, of course that is if there is a valid case. No point, running around the bush and I am not interested in a mud slinging exercise.

1. Regarding the shirts, THE PRESIDENT HAS ALREADY ANSWERED LA. There were some delays because some people didn't pay up. This matter is already SETTLED.

2. Regarding the KHS being banned, I can tell you for the fact that it doesn't really matter to him la. He can always come back with another nick if he wants to but he chooses to stay away. This matter is already SETTLED.

3. Regarding double standards, I admit it happens, I am sure that IT IS NOT INTENTIONAL but if it is brought up nicely, the committee would be more than happy to rectify it. Beauty in the eye of the beholder .. what is harmless to them might be different from what you think is harmless. This matter can be EASILY SETTLED.

4. Regarding polls being rigged, this matter is already SETTLED.

5. Regarding PMs being read. The committee only has moderator priviledges and can't read the PMs. Admin (Tom) can. So you know. It's not like he was the one who created the forum platform and choose to do it this way. This is the STANDARD INVISION BOARD SETTINGS, HE CANNOT TURN IT OFF so we just have to have some good faith in Tom. If you don't then just PM the other person and ask for e-mail address ... then if you want to tulis surat cinta among yourself, go ahead .. you will have all the privacy you want. This matter can be EASILY SETTLED.

6. Regarding the money for the Tsunami fund, I myself have donated a small, small amount at the Klang TT. Seriously, I don't really care about receipts to tayang tayang (maybe some people need to claim for tax purposes .. I don't know) or what but it's just that I want the money to reach the tsunami victims not for it to be sitting somewhere in Swaziland. So since there was no real annoucement, yes, I will speak up and ask,

Well said dimples. As you clearly has pointed out, a lot of it actually are settled or easily settled. As such I don't know why there is still so much resentment. I am cool and dislike politics of destruction, this I am sure you know. If certain members still wanna sulk about it, then its their prerogative.

As for the receipt, Jeff will email to you guys or post it up when he is back from up north. No worries, the money was channelled in to the Tsunami fund long time ago

Lets all contribute whenever we can and make this a better place.

The Committee has to understand that if MONEY is involved it changes the dynamics of the situation...... especially if it involves OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY...... you have to be careful!.....I think if there is a grievance regarding OTHER PEOPLE's MONEY it has to be attended to ASAP.....NO MATTER HOW INSIGNIFICANT THE ISSUE APPEARS....hell, if a waiter doesnt cum back with my 50 sen change, I'll bloody well look for him!!.....

Bear in mind that, in most cases, we are essentially strangers on the forum....that's beauty of the internet.....maybe you will meet on occassion but that's it........... which only makes the money bit a bit more ......how shall i put it - SENSITIVE..... just something to bear in mind fellas!

Nobody says King was an angel....... he is coarse/colourful - but perhaps deliberately so because that was his style, his on screen personna if you may.... he is also a member of this forum.... along standing one at that....longer than me...... perhaps there was merit in his banning but the manner in which it was done leaves a lot to be desired .....OK I agreed with mr fabian on this matter oredi...so all I want to say lets do it proper next time ok...... it looked almost like a personal vendetta towards the end..... there was no due process....


DOUBLE STANDARDS
The fact remains that this forum has a GENERAL SECTION...... which covers GENERAL DISCUSSIONS, THE AUTOBAHN (even more liberal) etc....... this part is for the misc. shit....... not necessarily car or bmw related..... if you have these, u cant stop people..... the fact that 'guidelines' were open to interpretation made it a FREE FOR ALL...... if the committee wants to act against the IJRT thread it should also act against the 'How to use the F word' and 'I'm a MCP' threads.... they are all lame, deragatory, in bad taste, sexual etc. etc. etc................
