Read your ad. How can I know if my E39 has DSP? Mine is a Japan spec model 2001.

when you can't plug n play.. hahaha.. means you have amp. at your boot.. (can be found on left hand side)..
when you find there's not only CD changer.. (i.e, TV tuner, Nav. Syst. and Amp beside CD changer)

I dont think it means your car equipped with DSP if u have "TV tuner, Nav. Syst".

What do u meant when u said not "plug and play"? Because u need to run the cable all the way from behind, so u call it not "plug and play"? Or your car really equipped with DSP? Even if your car has DSP, u just need an extra cable to run with the HU. I told u last time.

The best way to get ride the HU is "return the HU to those u bought from".

Hi the HU unit from BMW7833 is the one from Hualingan but the one our fren bought from 'Hooligan' I guess is bit different coz the eject and navi button at opposite location..it could be not compatible with e39 ...correct me if wrong coz it might be older version....

what does DSP means? after reading the comments i conclude u have DSP when u have DVD drive/SAT Nav in ur car ??
