Eh bro. I was mistaken! The BMW Paddock Lounge is the Friday nite event @ KLCC Park and I should be there cos got loads of booze. Just got my invites via courier this afternoon. See ya there! I didn't know they named this year's party BMW Paddock Lounge. For a minute, I thought you were referring to Paddock Club on F1 day itself.

XXX - I also got a date lah.

OSF - I would have thought XXX look ugliest wearning nothing at all!

Yeah, I totally understand this situation with too many invites coming from all over...
Last year I had to turn down an all expense invite to the Australian MotorGP in Philip Island cause I made prior plans to go watch turtles laying eggs in Rantau Panjang...then there was another invite to Monaco which I also turned down because it clashed with an appointment I made with a friend to watch it live at Kanna Curry House. Too many choices.
Damn, this sucks! "Beh Tahan Liao"!

best place to watch at home and the whole track and whats happening.. at sepang, even at the grand stand.. you can't hear a thing with the sweet noise the cars make let alone you are blur what's happening during the race..no tv even..

but at home.. nice..

Yup, on our favourite sofa, aircon on, cold drinks and popcorn by our side... no sweating, no traffic jams, no sun.

This evening's Pit Lane party is really for the VVIP...X5, M, E65 owners. Tomorrow rest of the BMW Malaysia guests, Friday is for AB invitees and Saturday for Sapura clients. Sunday...free for all. Heard there will be competition for pit stops too and everyone can take part!:)

Heard that some roads in and around that area will be closed to traffic from 6.00pm today too.
Those working nearby...youve got 30 minutes to get out!

Tonight's event is also for Petronas' corporate partners. I got a last minute invite as a male escort (whatudu, times are hard!... geddit "hard"?!!..) but turned it down since I attended the Sapura Auto event last night and will be at BMW Paddock Lounge for the Moet & Chandon event tomorrow (I wonder what's the connection between Moet and BMW??!) and as an AB customer, for the one on Friday night.

Guys, I would luv to wear the Club shirt for the Friday night event. Can I urge you guys to do the same so we can hang out and get pissed together?!

no, this friday I wear my fully scribbled BMW Sauber F1 shirt ...hehehhe

memoirs of the pit crews

not so full report from the eyes of me. I was at the event last night with sideways, another friend and skar19 and his cousins.....

Okay, guys if you go, you have to try out the pit stop experience, this is where you get to team up with a friend and act like a pit crew and change the tyre of the formula 1 car. there is a contest, if you can beat the 10 second mark, you'll get a certificate from pit lane park. 2 teams fight, left versus right. both front and rear has to complete below 10 second mark to get the cert.

1st go, me and sideways teamed up for the front left tyres. we got to do 2 practice run before competing. Sideways manned the gun and i was the tyre remover/mounter. we were quick but the guys doing the rear was slow. time: 14.7

2nd go, feeling that we could do better, we enlisted skar and my friend nizam to team up with us for the left side. skar and nizam took the front, sideways and i took the back. the back tyre is bloody difficult to dismount!!! time: 10.7

3rd go, the pit stop was empty so the guys there had a challenge for us since we were not satisfied of our time (in other words, we were dying for the cert...:D ). there's only four of us, so sideways went with skar and i partnered nizam to do battle against each other... both teams took the front tyres only. the partnership of skar and sideways won in 8.4 seconds. we got 10.1 seconds DAMMIT!.

4th go, both sideways and skar got a challenge/bet from Mr Schlimmer to do better than 8.4 seconds. So they went again. just for the fun of it we had a rematch. just 2 teams now, me and nizam took the front right tyre. They changed strategy and took the rear left tyres. time: us: 8.4 them 6.9seconds  (now this may seem fast but the record last night stands at 6.4 seconds official.) Both skar and sideways got something special from Mr Schlimmer......

of course in the middle of having fun at the pit stop, we had drinks in the lounge, checked out cars in the lounge and checked out other garages also. tip 1, present your bmw keys in the merchendise store, there's a free gift.

Other things that we did/things of interest/trivia!!

we met Peter Sauber that night, sideways got an autograph of Nick Heidfeld on his 10 ringgit note. Me and nizam got autographs of Chris Pfeiffer the motorrad rider. tip 2, watch this Chris guy, he is AWESOME!!!. We took pictures with the F1 car, will post up pics later. then after 11pm, we entered the lounge and went upstairs to have some party time with the rest. tip 3, if you are lucky enough to be in the paddock lounge, check out the lady DJ, SHE IS HOT!. We left at about 1 something to go home.

PS, the F1 car for the demo last night broke something, i think the gearbox, so the demo was a bit shorter. The formula petronas car is not bad, the formula BMW is nicer and did more burn outs. the motorrad rider is mad, must be high on something:D Tip 4, forget the simulator, too full queue too long....so...YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY THE PIT STOP CHALLENGE!!!

I'm done rambling now........zzzz
