If buying a car abt 100k, better fork the 8k for a 320

Why?

Less modification on engine required - since more powerful
Retain value - since more rare
Loan - the extra 8k put into loan lar
Better looking - rear have the 320 emblem

I think u can check using the computer.. or under the hood..ask the dealer to show u

sum accesories ... i duno n not sure about the parts n climate diff. .will BMW munich put in diff grade of material...

Yes.. normally got 2 tones one ...the leather seats are greyish white

ya totally diff.... just test drive both see which one u like ...
if budget permit get the better one of cource...else take 325i

U r rite. The dealer is actually bringing in 2000 but on AP, declared as 2001.

Vin number checking

1. Open the hood, on the left hand side if u r facing the car, there\'s a serial, copy down the last 7 digit.

2. Go to realoem.com and check.

320i is 6 pot while 318i is 4 port, the difference will be obvious. Pickup wise, u will not fell much difference, the difference will be the accelaration after 100km/hr and the engine smoothness. 6 pot is much smother compare to 4 pot.

I think regardless of UK or Japan spec., AP will say from Japan.

I was debating on 318i and 320i also, 30cents increase in petrol helps me to decide on 318i.

Yes, they can do that. I got a offer for a 2000 318 for 120k but declare as 2001, i refuse to take the car so ended up with a 2001 318. I used the dealer\'s laptop to check the vin number.

manage to test drive a M-Sport 318i 2.0 2001 registered 2002....mileage 22k...nice nice....selling price RM135,000...i believe i can lower it somemore.....but the killer is the interest rate is 5%...just because there is already an owner...come to think of it even the unreg cars from Japan have more mileage than this car....oh yes, it is triptronic and has multifunctional steering...all leather...17' rims...

is this a good deal and what price should i pester the agent for?...moreever, he quoted me for the insurance should be at rm145,000????...is this true??...

Hello there leakwoon,

Never tried to sell it before. First time posting out.

The history is this - just bought the car not too long ago. Got it up to tip top, while still under warranty. Still under warranty - AB will change anything that is not functioning or even scratched - car as good as new. Even the leather has been given detailing, etc. New tyres, tip top report from AB. Beautiful black colour. Latest facelift. Unlike other second hand ones, where you will have to set aside about 10k to bring it up to mark and risk spending more if transmission or other major parts fail, this one, spend zero. Really and literally zero, everything up to the mark. Just drive, 'coz full service not too long ago.

But I still like the 5 series E39.

So, if anyone has an E39, and want to swap, can give me a call. Looking for 523i, about 3 years old max. No more black colour, too difficult to keep sparkling clean externally. Silver will be excellent.

Have to be very careful. A friend of mine bought a lemon, and spent 8-10k on electrical and mechanical repairs. Then sold it off and vowed never to buy a bmw again.

Yes, mine's Aug 2004 325i (black). Warranty and full maintenance record by AB. New Mich tyres. Leather as new. 2003 a lot cheaper 'coz no more warranty - cannot complaint about every sound and scratch. AB's pretty good to replace everything complained of during warranty period.
