A trip to a reputable workshop which specialize in BMW would be advisable. They will jack up the car and do a visual inspection sign of oil stain etc, worn out parts etc.
BTW, most reputable workshop will have a diagnostic tool. If they dont have, then they are not specialize in newer BMW.
Dont worry about asking question. I also ask question before I decide on my ride.
I also have some problem with my central locking which come and go. Apparently, it have something to do with GM5 module.
My advise is to put aside some spare cash to change parts that are due for replacement. Unfortunately, by buying from japan, you have no way of checking the previous record.
