Just for sharing, I've been super gentle with my d engine over the last week, and my FC is at 7.8! Woohoo!

That's great, I'm getting about 550 -600 km per tank :motz:but then I am heavy footed. Mostly urban driving. Will be hitting the highway this week. Will try out the milage then.

i'm running in the car, though, so am being extra careful. keeping the revs gentle below 2k, and i've mainly been cruising between 80-100km/h. haven't redlined it yet, but that time should be just around the corner, can't wait to get locked into DS mode :top:

Maybe that;s why. I basically am pedal to the metal from point A to B

I have been getting 7.1L/100km...

Wow, good stuff, Doc! That's as good as advertised for the car already.. Well done! I'll share what I end up with when I'm done with the first tank.

Cruised a lot today (made 2 trips to the airport) and now FC's at 6.8
pretty darn fantastic.

i travell once on highway at 110km/h autocruise and my obd showing even less than 6l/100km :)

my last journey during raya celebration
KL-Kota Bharu thru gua musang-went around KB - Back to KL - to melaka thru plus-back kl. Total distance travelled approc 1400km, rm spend on fuel approx rm 160..

normal city would be around 7l/100km

i'm going to test drive the 320D later in the week. Seriously considering an upgrade from my current E46 325i. I need some information in regards to pricing. Who gives the best deal currently? If you know any authorized dealers selling pre-owned units at bargain price, I don't mind getting one. Please PM me the details.

hope, the old batch of demo cars at AB were sold 1-2 months ago from what I heard from the SA, this included the 320d. The new 320d with the uprated engines are still rare so I think it may be a bit difficult to get a pre-owned/demo 320d right now.

When negotiating, don't forget the fleet discount if you work for one of the 200+ multinationals in their list eg. Shell, GSK. If I understand it correctly this discount (up to 8%) is covered for partially by the dealer and partially by BMW Malaysia so there may be room for negotiation. Then ask for more goodies, the BMW Navigation is useful if you get a 3er without iDrive, you get GPS and bluetooth integrated into the car's audio system. Skip the DVD entertainment system IMO, it's a piece of junk.

You could just go to AB at Glenmarie and leave your number down asking them to call you once they have the pre owned 320d without sounding too desperate. If you need a good sales person to contact pm me. He's really great!!

if Segambut AB is somewhere closer by to you, get in touch with the dealer principal. Good guy.
shame the 320d doesn't come with i-drive, but i guess another rm30k would be difficult to swallow up front.
3 weeks into driving the car and have really enjoyed every moment. my neighbour has mentioned to me that she has been woken up in the morn when i start the engine (must be light sleeper)..haha, the diesel hum takes getting used to, i guess... but inside the car, it's hardly even noticeable. Will be paying close attention to whether it gets louder or not as time goes by.

The noise hasn't changed but one thing I do notice is the car feels slower after awhile but I think I'm just getting used to the torque already...

Does anyone have a 320d that's not white? I've seen at least 2-3 320d in my corner of Puchong and probably a dozen more on the road and they're all white! Only my work colleague is driving a grey 320d.

It doesn't ..in fact it gets smoother and quieter with the 15K km run-in. Time and time again..I am amazed by it's smootheness...it doesn't feel like it's a diesel-engined car at all..I am so glad I bought it...I stuck the Garmin on the right half of my display dial-now can't see the revs meter and the irritating fuel consumption needle that runs up and down everytime u slam the throttle (to remind u to go easy-it's an Efficient Dynamics car after all and fuel-economy is all the rave) but it's a good pseudo-iDrive! ha ha! And tell your neighbour she sleeps too much..wake up! do something productive..you lazy complaining bag of vile! -pls put a pic of her up-I can already imagine the curlers in her hair and she in her faded night gown-very aunty-looking, diesel-hater!

my one is Le-man blue, my office is in cyberjaya. Anyone in cyberjaya ?
Try this, warm up the car about 45-60s, or longer. you will feel different on the response.

When I got mine, I had 15 cars ready for me to choose from. Unfortunately there was only one white. There were many black, blue, le mans blue, grey but only one white. If I am not mistaken white is the only one that comes with a brown interior.

saw ur avatar with exhaust that is different from stock.
mind to share where u got it and price?

Hey I'm in cyberjaya too, working next to the Shell building! Let's TT one day :top:

I do warm up the car, at most a minute in general. I follow the manual though, go easy on the engine for the first few km before doing the rempit thing :D But like I said, I think I'm just getting used to the torque, my informal timing of 0-100 is still roughly the same as it was before...
